A few years in the Army sort of ruined camping for me. My idea of "roughing it" now includes being able to have a few drinks at the hotel bar and then going to our room with a hot tub.

As for the bugs.. take ground cinnamon and sprinkle a line around your tent. the bugs hate the smell because it is too strong for their senses. It also is natural and wont hurt the environment.

I LOVE camping! Out in the woods, no cell service, in tents, nothing but the great outdoors! The best part is cooking everything over the camp fire!

I've never been camping. I think I would hate it because I HATE bugs, and they hate me back. Also, I have tons of nature allergies, so I think that is why my parents kept me away from the camping scene when I was younger.
