I'm a fair skinned girl and I always love to start faux-tanning in the winter so I am a few shades darker once summer arrives. I've had difficulty finding a nice faux-tanner (either spray, lotion or other) that applies nicely and gives adequate color. What fake tanners do you love?
Calling all faux-tanners!

I don't use fake tanners, but the one thing I've heard is to make sure your skin is well moisturized beforehand so that the tanner spreads on evenly. There's nothing worse than streaks!

I don't do it myself, (I'm Mediterranean and olive complected, with a weird pale Celtic color from my moms's side thrown in. Think of olive over white. Weird. I didn't even realize I had "light" skin until I was about 16 and the nearly full year tan finally wore off. My tan used to take forever to wear off. When I was kid, I still had tan lines from summer on my birthday, which is in late January. And, I would be dark until the next summer.
From what I have heard from the few friends who do it is the professional spray is the best. But, I'm going on hear say.
I haven't gotten a real tan since......I was about 16. I worked a a Baby Pool. And I was outside all day every day. I was going to tell the year, but I'm not going to.

Faux meaning spray? That I don't do. I'm a tanning whore. I love it. I have lots of lotions and such but they work in combination with UV light. I used to do the lotion tans when I was younger. I still do use Jergen's bronzer...but everything else is my Designer Skin Products.

I don't use it but if I were you I would used moisturizers like Jergen's who have a line that have moisturizers and lotion that have tanning lotions in them that will gradually make your skin darker with each use. I think this will be better than all of sudden having darker skin and also you don't run the risk of ending up looking like a Umpa Lupa or one of the Jersey Shore girls. :p
