Do you miss being able to buy a plain old 100 watt light bulb?

You know they don't legally sell such things anymore, right?

I personally don't miss them at all. I much prefer the low power usage and long life of my CFL and now LED bulbs. It's also nice that the newer ones put out a lot less heat since AC is a major expense where I am.

I can still buy them where I live. CFL’s are not allowed anywhere near our house. Cancer and chemical exposure risks combined with energy efficiency propaganda make those things unwelcome in the extreme. - C

The stores still sell them in my area. We have LED and fluorescent bulbs though....
