I just like bagels or sometimes pancakes.
When you think of breakfast . . . . you think of . . . . ?

Gee thanks, now I want breakfast and I just ate! I love me some IHOP and Denny's pancakes, and if I had to choose between the two... Well, I go to Denny's more but you can't mess with IHOP's pancakes.
Carrows is decent as well.

I like going to small local places

We have a little local diner run by a grandma, mother and daughter trio. They are great so we try to go there or we go to the farmer's market and get some fresh fruit. We try to buy at smaller mom and pop places considering we have a great local farming area.

Where I currently live, I'm a fan of Cracker Barrel and IHOP. I really liked Denny's, Eat n Park, and Perkins too when I lived near them.
As for your question about vacation & traveling, I really like to find someplace local. Not picky about whether it's a mom & pop type place or a chain, but I want something I wouldn't be able to get at home. That's what vacation is all about!

I love Cracker Barrel if I can find one. Mostly when on a trip I look for the local small diner, asking the locals around town will usually score me a great meal at a good price.

While we love Cracker Barrel and likewise some I-hop's can have good breakfast...we are HUGE fans of the ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE chain. (it is a SMALL chain..few outlets) but the BEST there is. YUM, YUM to the tenth power.

I've never been to an IHOP but would love to go sometime. Denny's is decent sometimes but really greasy usually. Mostly I just make my own breakfast of eggs and bacon/ham.

OTL, I actually read "breast fest" instead of breakfast... haha. But When I think of breakfast, I think of those lovely moments I get, cooking with my husband.

Whenever possible, I try to look up restaurants in the area or talk to a local friend to find a good, local, non-chain restaurant. I avoid chain restaurants whenever I can, I really just don't enjoy the food there as much at all.

I do love cracker barrel!
