2 yrs ago when i was at my heaviest (a size 14) i looked up my BMI & it said i was obese! sure, i was big for my height & frame, but i was no where near obese.
BMI -- where do you stand?

Sadly, i am in the overweight part now.
11/06/2011
I am mildly overweight. I am happy with it.

I don't buy into BMI. According to them I'm overweight - but I'm very healthy. In the last two years I've climbed Mt. Whitney (22 miles to 14.5k fasl), climbed Half Dome twice (16 miles to 8.5k fasl) completed 100 km and 75 km bike rides and I golf about 50x year - mostly walking and carrying.

Healthy. One time I went in to my docs office and I was a few pounds over normal/average. I joked about the chart calling me overweight and my doc said "Oh that supid thing, don't listen to that you're perfectly normal!"

probably slightly overweight, but i exercise 5 times a week (i like food). Same for my girlfriend. The BMI chart's practically a scam though, body fat percentages, blood pressure and cholesterol readings are a more accurate report of health.

Underweight. But I eat like a teenage boy so I don't have an eatting disorder, I just have a fast matabolism.
11/06/2011
I wouldnt consider myself overweight at all
11/06/2011
5'7 and go from 100 to 115 depending on the time of year and my stress level. I don't consider myself underweight although the chart does!!! I'm healthy
11/06/2011
I don't like the BMI chart because it says I'm overweight, which I find very insulting since I don't look or feel overweight *sighs*

Healthy, right in the middle.

"People into bondage are usually fat", "people who make dirty videos are usually skinny", etc. These types of flippant, off-the-hip comments usually are untrue, but they did get me to thinking: Is the EF like America, with a decent bit being overweight? So I've supplied you with a BMI CHART, to see how we all stack up.

I'm healthy. Used to always be underweight...

The Wii Fit shows me as a toothpick with a balloon head. I find BMI to be ridiculous. As long as you're happy with your weight, why should it matter what is deemed normal?

I'm at a 'healthy' weight. BMI charts/formulas are not really universal because they take very selective information into account. I had doctors tell me I was perfectly fine at the 'underweight' score I had for a couple of years up until now.
11/29/2011
I'm almost right in the middle of the healthy. That's good to know!

My BMI is 15, but I'm healthy. You can be over the "healthy" BMI and still be healthy, too.
My doctor doesn't think my weight is particularly problematic. I can lift roughly half my bodyweight (without struggling) and I don't work out. I don't even *look* particularly underweight (I don't feel I look sick or unhealthy), so I dunno, maybe I have bird bones.
I know plenty of people who are over the "healthy" BMI, but are still just as healthy as the average person.
I think the overweight / obese thing is kind of bullshit. I guess to me the terms are subjective and I wouldn't use either unless a person was so big that it was interfering with their lives and health in a way that made them unhappy.

I hate charts as many other things have to be faceted in to get a real picture. I have a BMI of 19, I do work out, am very active, try to eat healthy but have never been on a diet. I know my metabolism is very fast.
11/29/2011
According to the BMI, I'm at the low end of overweight, though my understanding is that the BMI is outdated and doesn't take muscle mass into account. I'm very aware I've got a bit of flab on my belly, but I've also got a respectable amount of leg muscle. Wouldn't mind losing a few pounds, but I'm not unhappy with my weight at the moment.

You forgot "Extremely underweight"... My BMI is between 15 and 16 depending on hormones and gluten swelling... But if I don't eat gluten and don't have hormonal imbalalence, it can lower to 14. And it's natural for me :/

Google is your friend. If I used the chart, my BMI wouldn't even have been listed, I think.

I'm so fluffy I'm not even on that chart~
Unfortunately I come from a family of over weight people, who socialize with food and I work as a chef, so I have gained far more than I should. I'm going for a gastric by-pass this year and started the process because I want to live a long life and enjoy it. I know some don't agree with that, but it's what I want.

It says I'm underweight, but I am not underweight.

I'm smack in the middle of healthy. I hate, however, that BMI doesn't account for muscle mass.
04/17/2012
At 5'5" and weighing 119, I'm perfectly healthy.
04/17/2012
I have a healthy BMI, but I do not think this is an accurate way to measure ones fitness level. I'm 6'2" 185 lbs. thats close to overweight on the BMI scale. However, I'm very built and have a 31 inch waist.
