On blogs and other websites, I've noticed most sex photos are in black and white, the vast majority anyway. It drives me bonkers. Someone said it was so they were more beautiful and not as "in your face," but I've seen copious amounts, all in just black and white. You might not be knowledgeable on this subject if you don't have a blog or don't browse a website such as Tumblr or Flickr that is popular for photography. Not sure if anyone will actually respond, but I figured it was worth asking

*shrugs* I like them a lot, personally.

I like them a lot too. If the photographers are good at their trade, those B&W are even more tastefully done than the regular colored nudes.

We've seen a good combination of both. One of the biggest reasons black and white is preferred is you can also play with light and shadows in ways that color does not accentuate. If you were able to compare an "identical" black and white to a color photo of the same photo, you'd probably be amazed how much different they look and feel.

Black and white is a canvas to play on. Even when subjects ask only for color I always include a few black and whites in their package. Color can be distracting especially when looking at something beautiful. You get lost in the portions of the film that are irrelevant.

I don't really look up that kind of stuff, but I think black and white is so much more tasteful in general. I think it gives you an all around feel to an image rather than certain colors over powering the image

I think they're really pretty. It adds a more artistic edge to the pictures I think. Not always, but sometimes.
