Which type of birth control do you use? If you regularly use more than one, feel free to check multiples. I've listed everything I could think of.

I'm the happy host to a Paragard IUD. I was on the pill for five months prior to that, but the ease of an IUD was too much to resist.

Condom as well as oral contraceptives

I've been on the pill for years!

Pill typically.
Currently knocked up though. I plan to get my tubes tied or essure when this one is born.

I'm on the pill and haven't had any problems or unexpected pregnancies on it. I'd go and get my tubes tied or something but no doctor wants to do that kind of procedure on me since I'm only 27.

I have implanon. I wish I could get my tubes tied/hysterectomy but I am only 21. Implanon is amazing though, I forget what having a period is like and its more effective than being sterilized apparently.

we use coitus interruptus... maybe the rhythm method ... but often none at all.

have done this with 3 serious partners over the course of the past near-decade.. never gotten preg-o.
maybe i'm infertile. but i'm not counting on it. (Though it may sound like it!)

Had my tubes tied recently (through public health, who didn't care that I didn't have kids, as long as I was over 21 and knew what I was doing). Only now (about 2&1/2 weeks later) am I feeling about 90% normally.
I've not yet tested it out (besides feeling icky) because Master lives about 5,000 miles away ...y'know, this is the first time I actually thought about 'sex after sterilization'. They say there's always a chance (just like any other birth control method), but it's sort of weird to know it since I didn't administer the method myself, like condoms or the pill. If that makes any sense. Not being active about birth control is going to take some getting used to.

I have Implanon as well and I like it. I had Mirena before and it caused all sorts of issues. I switched over and haven't had a problem since. I get a period once every month and half or two months. On Mirena I had no period, but it wasn't worth the intense cramping that had me bedridden for a week at one point.
I think after the Implanon expires, my husband might get his tubes tied. If he does, I might go off completely. My family has a history of female cancers and all the hormones make me nervous.

Um..vasectomy. As men can't tie their tubes. I don't know what the heck I was, or wasn't thinking, when I typed that. I think I was still on reading about other people getting their tubes tied. Jeez. I'm special!

Condoms at the moment, although I plan to get an IUD beginning of next year.

I'm currently on the NuvaRing, but ending that soon and we're switching to not having actual sex. >.>

I will never let my wife use any chemical birth control materials. The only thing we do is let the course get longer and then finaly outcourse.

I'm not having sex right now, but with my ex boyfriend I used condoms. I tried to go on the Pill once, but it made me really moody, so I got off it.

Condom and pill. Throw in pulling out and the rhythm method and babies are practically impossible through sex.

I forgot to add: I use the pill, my husband is schedule for a vasectomy on friday.

I use the pill and condoms these days, but I have tried the Depo shot in the past. While Depo was effective, I had some bad side effects show up after a while.

I just wanted to add that I do natural family planning/fertility awareness.... and breastfeeding is NOT a proper method of birth control. As a matter of fact, it is not birth control at all. While most women don't have their period until they stop breastfeeding, some do, and there is no way to tell if you will. And considering the fact that you ovulate about 2 weeks before you have your period, you won't know that you are indeed fertile again. If you need proof, I'll show you a picture of my daughter, who was concieved 3 months after my son was born, while he was being exclusivley breastfed and I hadn't had my period yet.

My girl needs to take the pill as a form of medication anyway, so it's that.

Paragard IUD. It's incredible. There is nothing bad to say about it. I've had it in for two years since having our daughter and it's flawless.

The pill until I became pregnant again.

I've been on the pill, but am tempted to try the ring.

I've gotten my tubes cut, tied and burned. Then I also have my uterine lining burned up so it's infertile to house an egg.
11/07/2011
I watch my cycle. I was on the pill when we first got married until we decided to have kids and then I just watch my cycle.
11/07/2011
I've had my Mirena IUD for 2 years now, and absolutely adore it!
11/07/2011
We just use condoms now.
11/07/2011
Not having any sex, Haven't in almost 3 years, so I put none. However if/when i do, I'll be using condoms. Sadly the hormones in the pill really bother me in negative ways. Also with the medication I'm on, birth control can make it less effective, so sadly it's no longer an option anyway.
