Saw a hyper pug and big calm, big huge, newfoundland dog the other day (did I mention he was big) the other day and I wanted them both. If you could only have one, which would you want?
big dog, or little dog?

I love big dogs. I'm not fond of smaller dogs, I need one that can cuddle against and play with. I also prefer a dog that can "work" by serving as a deterrent to people who might not have my best interests at heart and be trained as a therapy dog so I can make hospital visits to patients who could use some furry therapy.

Ahhh, I picked small for now.
I love gigantic dogs, but I'm not strong enough by myself to take care of one.
What if I had to take an incapacitated dog to the vet with no help ? I'm not sure I could get a dog bigger than 40lbs there all by myself.

BIG.
But anything over 45 pounds really. I love giant dogs too but I'll probably never own one just cause. I love my little aussie right now. She's perfect.
As long as they're big enough to be a "real dog" I'm good.

I love the beautiful Newfoundlands ... but not their drool!

Usually big, because most of the small breeds have hyperactivity problems.

I love big dogs, but since I don't have space in my little apartment, nor do I have time to take it on long walks/runs for exercise, I would get a small dog. They are also easier to take around with you, when you travel, etc.

I have a major soft spot for Min Pins, so, small here.

small, but only because we don't have the room for a larger dog.. if we could, we'd get a farm and take in all dogs and animals lol

Big dogs. I have no desire to own a Half-Dog.

I like big dogs more, but Pomeranians are just the cutest things and are my only exception.

Small is easier to manage

I think I'm a small dog person, if I could pick. I've never had a big dog, though (but my sister does, and I feel bad for it because they have no room or proper time/energy for such a horse).

My mom owned a maltese (Small dog) and now Dad and me own an Akita.
I'm going to say I love my Akita only because he doesn't bark at every little thing...

I prefer medium sized dogs. That way, they're small enough to be lapdogs, but big enough that you can rough house with them without having to worry.

I love all dogs, but I prefer smaller ones. However, if I see one walking on the side of the road, I don't care what he looks like! I just want him/her to be safe and warm so I'll take him regardless of his/her size.

I'd rather have a small dog, but my husband likes big dogs...so we have a medium/big one.

YEAH!!! I have the most mellow and loving Pom ever! I take her to work with me and everyone loves her, she doesn't bark at customers, just looks so cute they pet and cuddle her. Little show off.

I was afraid of big dogs when I was a kid, so we always ended up getting small ones. I have 2 small dogs now, I like that I am able to pick them up easily. They are both calm, lazy dogs.
A big dog that was hyper would really stress me out.

I love Big dogs, but since they're not really "affordable' for me right now, I just have a small lap dog. I eventually would like to have a English Mastiff.

Small dogs for me. I think my owner likes me as a puppy.

We have a small runty chocolate lab. It's perfect, she's almost 5, but everyone thinks she's still a puppy under 1 year. She's really skinny, short and energetic.

No dog for me. I'm a cat person.

labs all the way!

I have no tolerance for small dogs. For me, it's pointless having a dog unless it's large and able to make people entering the property weary. Plus I think they are more intelligent - they seem to have more human traits and understanding.

I grew up around big dogs, a lab mix, and a border collie, so I loooove big dogs! My best friend has two boxers, and they're just the greatest. Big dogs, all the way.

I'm a little scared of dogs, but I like them..
