I have a slight milk allergy and I'm not really a fan of the texture of soy milk. Have you tried anything that works for you and still tastes pleasant? (Mainly for milk with cereal, never on it's own)
Best (tastiest) alternative to cow's milk?

I used to love the taste of vanilla almond milk.

Coconut milk is the first thing that comes to mind, though I've never put it on cereal (don't eat the stuff). The degree of coconut taste will vary by brand. Some taste like they fell right off a tree, while others are somewhere between skim milk and water in taste.

Almond milk and rice milk are alternatives, though I, personally, don't care for them.

Plain almond milk is decent on cereal, as is the vanilla almond milk.
If you get it unsweetened, it also has very few calories and fat.

Doesn't the texture of soy milk vary significantly from brand to brand?

very vanilla soy milk.... almond milk is kinda watery for me... but I don't like the orginal soy milk either... vanilla is ok, but very vanilla is better!

If you're lactose intolerant, you could try Lactaid. I loved that stuff when I had a weird bout of lactose intolerance.
I've also heard hemp milk is pretty good, but haven't tried it.

Original flavored coconut milk by the brand "So Delicious", instead of tasting like coconut extract added to rice milk produced by "Silk", it's made with real coconut.

Try a different brand of soy milk. And if you can go for freshly made it's so much nicer!!! It is delicious when you add a spoonful of crushed berries. Almond milk is nice too, as is walnut milk and coconut milk. But if you are buying them in a can or a from the shelf and not something fresh, check out to see what is in them.

Almond milk or coconut milk are both great.
