Do you ever feel bad when you have to back out of plans or cancel? I fear I may have to cancel on my friends next weekend for a number of reasons

UGH. Always.

No matter what the reason, I can't help but feel bad, especially if it's one of my best friends' events! I had to cancel on a babyshower a couple of months back and I still feel guilty!

Just try to keep in mind that they will (or should, anyway!) understand, and will forgive you

I always feel guilty and upset but do realize there are times when it cannot be helped. As long as this is kept to a bare minimum and there are serious conflicts for time--they will understand. After all, we have all been there!!

I hate hate hate backing out of plans. BUT! My friends always (like seriously almost all the time) did it to me. So with those friends I don't feel as bad

I don't feel bad as long as it's for a good reason. It's a part of life and it happens. If they are true friends they will understand and at some point will have to back out on you as well.

I do feel bad, even if it's for a good reason.

If it's for a good reason I don't feel bad. If it's just cause I don't feel like it I feel a bit guilty.

Yep...and then I try to rationalize it by saying that I won't be good company if I don't want to be there.

I hate having to do it, but I have a health condition that flares up, so I guess I end up doing it all the time.

I feel guilty, and try to make it up to them if I can.

No fun, but it's better to do it asap, so they know sooner.

I always feel guilty but I always have a legit reason normally, we just reschedule. I also try to let them know a few days in advance

Yeah.. I'm gonna have to start figuring out what's going on. I have plans to go to an event and help out, but I am having a hard time finding a way there since it is so far. And it is all night. One ride I secured started asking me for stuff (non sexual, just so you know lol) and that makes me uncomfortable so I need to tell him I'm not going with him. This other girl wants more money than I have to take me there, so I can't do that. And the other people who said they'd take me have yet to answer me if they're going to or not.

I feel like I'm going to look like a big dick I really want go to and help, but it's not looking so good
