#AskEden - Questions about back orders...

Contributor: Abombadong Abombadong
I have two products on back order and I wondering if any one of you have had back orders and if so how long did it take for it to get shipped to your house? The first one has been a month since my order and the second was just the other day. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

It's going to depend upon the manufacturer and when they are able to restock the item for EF, so there is no universal answer as to how long it will take. You could contact customer service to try and get an estimate. Alternatively, you could get a refund for the items back ordered and purchase them again in the future when they are back in stock.

If something I order ends up backordered, I cancel it. I'd suggest if it's something you really, really want, keep in on order.

Avoid back orders if possible. Those things could easily pile up. EdenFantasys Logo

I haven't dealt with this but if it were an item that takes forever to come back in stock I would cancel the order unless it was one that went real quick when it came back in stock. Depends on what it is really.

I didn't know items can actually be back orders. I thought it's just in stock or out of stock. I don't think I would wait for any back order if it was me though.

Ugh mine took almost 3 months and the kicker was that when they finally sent it, they kept the order value as the high value of the package it was supposed to be in, so I had to pay $35 in customs fees for a $10 pair of nipple clamps. I was really mad, but EF paid me back for the fees, though unfortunately in points, which doesn't help me pay any bills that the cash I had to use would have. Anyhow, from now on I'm going to cancel all backorders and just reorder it when they're back in order.

Oooh, wow! That would've irritated me... $35 in fees for a $10 order?? Granted, EF cannot control what customs does, but I would've been SO upset about that.

Well EF is the one that didn't adjust the value of the order, which is why customs charged such huge fees, thinking the order was worth more. I was really upset, they gave me 45 dollars worth of points for the mix up anyway.
