Attn. Cat Owners... Odd question lol

So I have 3 cats & everyone has their own "thing" that's odd about them but I have one 7 month old girl who is wacked out to the max... When I got her she was 15 weeks old & scared of her own shadow, well one night I guess she decided she wanted to be my friend & woke me up by licking my face sitting on my chest. Cute as it was it's now a issue, these many months I have been dealing with a kitty who follows me 24/7, sits on me or next to me at all times, headbutts me constantly & licks my face as much as she can!! She is obbsessed with me, she doesn't bother with anyone else in my house just me.. She even fetches for me, she is the strangest cat I ever had/met..

anyways... Has anyone had an over loving obbsessed cat?

How about any other odd habbits your cats have?

Oh yeah, sounds just like my little one (before she ran away). She would meow at me and I swear it was like we were having conversations. Any behavior I wanted to put a stop to, I would grab her by the scruff and hang her about a foot off the floor for a minute or two. Doesn't hurt and corrects the problem pretty quickly.

I have three cats as well.

1) Popple- She had distemper and almost died as a kitten. I think this is what made her retarded. She's very lazy and stares at the wall a lot. She's also very sweet though, and she can't meow very well, so she often tries to meow but makes a weird smacking sound instead.

2) Snapple- Spastic, crazy-energetic cat. Loud and loves ham more than anything. Gifted gymnast. Knocks things over to spite us. Hates strangers.

3) O- (indoor/outdoor cat) Sweetest cat in the universe. Gifted squirrel murderer, but won't use claws on humans. Will let me cradle him like a baby indefinitely. Constantly trying to clean my face and hands. Jumps very awkwardly and adorably. Never stops purring EVER. He purrs whether he's being held or eating or taking a dump or you're yelling at him.

Sounds a lot like my wee beastie. Maus (yes, I named my cat that. ) is seriously clingy. She sleeps beside my head at night, comes on command, insists that yes, she is in fact a shoulder kitty, and will purr the entire time she is balanced on my shoulders. She has learned a few other tricks as well, without me bribing her with treats. She is genuinely fond of me, and will fuss and cry for hours if I leave.

My 15 year old Misty has pica and plastic is her nom of choice. Thankfully I catch her before she eats any of it, though.

She also will tilt her head and stare at you like that...for minutes at a time.

She's very kooky, we suspect she was a result of in-breeding but we love her anyway!

Well, Maus is definitely independent when she wants to be...she's an indoor/outdoor cat (she is chipped, wears a collar, and is very cautious about new people/the road, etc, so I am comfortable letting her play outside) and will spend most of the day out playing, but tends to come inside periodically to check that I am still ok and don't need her to help eat some of my lunch or whatever. lol. She's 3 now, so I doubt she is going to grow out of it anytime soon!

Doo doo doo doo.... I had a Moomoo and she was crazy clingy also. Weird.

She is in kitty heaven now and her cat sister, Izzy, has gone from antisocial to the clinger. It is like she had to take over for Moo. She is always loving me (she has video bombed a few of my vids here)

That's a trip. Maybe it's all in the name lol
She is a cow looking kitty, that's how she got the name!
That's sweet, I bet Izzy saw how Moo was with you & didn't want you to miss her lovey dovey so she took over

Speak of the devil, as I'm typing this I'm being beat in the face by her tiny head

My cat Stormie is too lovey and she wants to rub her pooter on me, seriously. She is not fixed yet, so she is in heat and she chooses me as the one to rub on.

I have 5 cats total.

Lola, only is lovey to my son. She follows him everywhere.

Lily, is the chicken of the house.

Jamie, is my husbands cat, but she is very friendly. She is also queen bitch of the house, all the other cats do not mess with her.

Dopey, is the man of the house and really friendly and charming.

I am one of those crazy cat ladies and I could spend the next three hours writing out, in detail, how fabulous my cats are.

Rather than do that, I'll just share one thing about one of my furballs.

One of my female cats has a penchant for "hunting" and "catching" socks, underwear, bras . . . it's both adorable and annoying. Every day, she brings down at least one article of clothing, although sometimes more, with a preference for socks. She trots around and announces to the world what she has found.

if she's not fixed that could be the reason why. i once knew a whole cat who did the same, but also yowled at night to get into the bedroom. it was impossible to study around her because she'd sit on your book and beg for attention.

my male cat likes to dig in my planters, eat greenery from the bouquet of roses my boy got me, chase his tail, and does this cute little kitty-hug-n-kisses thing where he puts both arms around my neck and rubs his face on my chin. love it.

Yeah, Fidget loves my face...the stinky kitten/cat he is.

He regularly blurs the line between "Food" and "Toy".

Do not pick up adult cats by the scruff of the neck. You could injure them. Leave picking up by the scruff to the mom cat. Use other techniques to train cats like a spray of water.

I actually trained one of my cats to not encroach on the food of the other cats while they're eating by standing between him and the eating cat. Now, even if I'm not nearby, if he approaches another cat while he's eating, I can hold a finger up and call his name and he stops.

Was your clingy cat feral? I've heard that feral cats will often choose just one person to be close to and will avoid everyone else. Maybe this also applies to skiddish non-feral cats too.

Two of my three cats are feral. All were strays. One feral cat will only allow me near her. Head butting is the highest compliment a cat can pay you. Or maybe dropping a dead mouse at your feet is, but head-butting is close. They don't head butt just anybody.

I did have a cat that was exactly like this! He was about 3 months old when I got him, and he would follow me everywhere and if I went to the bathroom without him in there he would sit at the door and cry, and cry and if I didn't let him in he would even make a screaming sound like he was being hurt! He was okay when I'd leave for school or work but he was really strange because although he DID pay attention to my parents, he was really attached to me. If I was there, he had to be on my lap or right next to me!

One of my current kitties was rescued at 3 weeks old, and I bottle fed her. She is pretty obsessive with me and she doesn't like to be touched by anyone else in the house lol. She's 3 years old now haha. I love cats and their different personalities!

I have two male cats, but they are pretty normal for the most part.

My first cat who died last year tried to clean up after herself if she got sick. We would come home to unravelled toilet paper dragged from the washroom all the way over to where she got sick. Really really smart cat she was.

maybe it's the breed. i know there's one breed that's super affectionate to the point of super annoyance, but i can't remember the name of the breed. my family has 2 cats, a male & female. our male cat sleep in the most contorted positions ever. the strangest position i've ever seen him in was when he was sleeping w/ the top of his head touching his back right above his tail. strange cat, but we love him. he's also a major whiner. our female cat like's to bitch a lot.

I had one that hated to be behind a closed door if they didn't have access to me. If I needed to go in one room I HAD to leave the door open if kitty was in the other room!

She is not feral but the 1st 15-16 weeks of her life are unknown since she came from another home. I do know that where she came from was not the best, she stunk like pee & was a mess when I took her in. I'm thinking where she came from they had lots of cats. She was just left in a box on my porch one day so I don't know her story so to speak...

Cloud, My 8 month old kitty will also sleep with me (I have zero room while sleeping thanks to cats&My hubby) Cloud loves to lick my face and will sometimes bite me if i don't pay attention to her... Eli, one of my "feral" cats so-to-speak, will only let me pet her.. and only when she is pregnant or in heat.. or just wants loving (which is really really rare)
