1) If you are looking for something non-prescription and have been on Retinols chances are you would benefit highly from using products containing Salicylic Acid, such as Benzoyl Peroxide. Some have success with products such as Pro Active but these products are basically a combination of OTC products combined in a kit. Really all you need is a nice cleanser, unless you are oily (which would mean, all year round and over most of your face, not just a few problem areas) you'll want a gentle cleanser. Not something harsh or exfoliating for regular cleansing. Exfoliation should be done no more than 3 times a week, and that is a bit overkill. For a list of specific products based on your budget or more specific skin type feel free to send me additional info. Also, something I suggest highly is something like Witch Hazel. Most of these products ARE very drying so you'll want to use a good moisturizer. Many people don't realize there is a difference between oil and moisture in the skin. Moisture is EXTREMELY good, you need it, if you want healthy skin. Oil, is not a good thing, it clogs pores and houses bacteria.
2) LOL. I've been modeling for about 10 years now? It's fun, but you need to be SAFE. There are 2 ways to go about modeling. Freelance, or through an agency. I have an agency but I contracted with them that I am also freelance. If I can't find a shoot or need an agent to attend a shoot, I use them. Otherwise I do it on my own. Starting off you will need to build up a portfolio. This can easily be done with something called "TFP". This stands for Time for Print. It relinquishes rights of the photos to both you and the photographer, the shoot is FREE, and images can be used as either of you pleases. This is most safely done with a reputable photographer. There are many websites you can join for free such as my favorite
right here where you can meet other models, photographers, etc.
A good rule of thumb with modeling is that SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY is key. I always bring an escort with me to a shoot, even if there are other models, meaning a friend who will sit back and shush and not disturb the shoot or the photographer, comes along, just for safety. The photographer is UNLESS GIVEN VERBAL CONSENT not allowed to touch the model for ANY reason, if you need to move or position differently, you are verbally told to do so. New photographers sometimes don't know this, but if you should ever be in this situation, remind them, it's against the rules
If you need help finding agents, I'm always available to chat. Modeling can pay well, but keep in mind, it's not for everyone. There is a level of physical work involved, and you need tons of stamina! It can be a hobby, or a career. I chose hobby, but I hardly ever turn down a shoot even if it's TFP to help a photographer build up a portfolio
Also never do anything you're uncomfortable with. YOU choose your limits. Not the photographer. Hope that helps
