I am! (Not that I would need it anyway, am always with Master, He has one, that's enough, am not interested in anyone's face anyway... ^^)
Are you one of those who proudly don't own a cell phone? :D

i am not i have a cell phone

I only have one so I can call long distance relatives and to use in the car ONLY for emergencies. If not for those 2 things I wouldn't own one.

yes. they are evil. more evil than marriage, less than spiders.

I couldn't imagine life without one!

Nope, I have a cell phone instead of a land line. I use it to talk to my SOs and text and sext all day, though I technically got it for work. XD
I wouldn't be proud not to have one, because then I couldn't stay in touch with my loved ones as easily. I am proud to stay so in touch with family and loved ones.

1) I have kids who need to get hold of me.
2) I have a job, and both my Agency and my patients need to get hold of me.
3) I have friends, and I need to reach them when I'm not near my land line.
4) My youngest child's school has my cell number, so I can be reached when necessary. (I do need to leave the house.)
5) I can leave messages or texts for my children or friends when they are in class or my friends are at work, if I need to get something important to them as soon as possible.
6) Many people I know don't even have a land line.
7) It's come in handy when our land line goes out.
8) If I ever get stuck on the road, I can get hold of my patients to let them know where I am and when they can expect me, or my husband so he can help me, or my kids, so they know where to go in an emergency or who ever.
It's the 21st century. I'm happy to be here. I love my cell phone.

No but I was one of the last of my social group to get one.

A cell phone is practical and necessary for my business, and since I moved away it's needed to keep in contact with my friends and family. I feel like not having a cell phone just makes a person less self-reliant; I hated when my ex didn't have one and just "mooched" off mine raking up my minutes and upping my bill.

I don't think I'd be happy not to own one, it's the main way my boyfriend and I stay in touch. I can see the appeal of not having a cell perhaps but it's just not something I could get rid of myself at this point in time.

I have no landline. My phone is required for and provided by my job but even if it weren't, I'd still have one.

Have a cell phone and a land line. Probably going to get rid of the land line soon. Why pay for two?

The only person I know that doesn't own a cell phone is my hubbies mom. And it's getting to the point where she is seeing why she needs one. Everyone worries about her when she is late and they have no way to contact her. If she had a cell phone we could call her and find out she's stuck in traffic. She goes out for hours to the store and we only have a land line to call. We think something is wrong like she fell down the stairs because we can't get a hold of her.
We proudly don't own a land line. We have never actually. It's cheaper to get a phone with unlimited everything then it is to own a land line. And my cell phone could save my life or someone else's. Times have changed. When was the last time you saw a pay phone? I rarely see one. And when I do see one someone has vandalized it. Cell phones are a part of life. There are very good reasons to own one. And hardly any bad reasons.

I was a long time holdout, but I joined the modern age a year ago.
