I never was a drink-outside-the-hous e kind of person, but lately I've felt like a change of scenery. My husband frowns upon bars, though, so it's going to take some convincing to get him to go with me (I don't have friends, so 'hanging with the girls' is not an option.) Just wondering how many people are into the bar scene vs. not.
Are you into the bar scene?

I rarely drink anymore and the bars I've been to is mainly drama or mostly younger people. I'm in my 30's and really don't care for that scene anymore. I'd rather have a fire outside and a few friends over.

I prefer to drink at home, but drink very rarely because of my medication. Also, social anxiety. yeah. I can't even stand to eat out, so...

I prefer not to drink. On occasion I will, but it will be at home with my wife.

I feel the same way. Every once in a while I'll do a girls night out, and we might go to a place like Buffalo Wild Wings and have drinks, but that's about as wild as we get. No bars or anything like that. I prefer it that way even if it does qualify me as "boring". lol

I don't drink much anymore. I used to drink out often when I was younger, but my preference were the more upscale lounge clubs instead of going to bars.

I don't drink. But I sometimes wish I could get in on the bar scene... or SOME social scene. XP

rarely ever drink anymore but never been into the bar scene, always been at friends houses or at home, mostly at home now

I'm not much of a drinker, I don't like the next day effects of it. I will go out with my friends every now and then but I honestly don't care for it. It's always so loud that you can barely hear the person across from you and if there is a group, you can't all talk and hear each other at the table. I did have fun the last time we all went out but the place had a patio with tables, chairs and an outdoor bar. I'd rather be at someone's house, I tend to have more fun there.

I only drink on occasion, and when I do, it is either at home or at a friend's. I do not drink publicly usually. Maybe at restaurants, but that is it.

We go to bars for birthdays. It's the easiest way for us to meet up with a bunch of friends. If we want to hang out with just a couple of people and drink, we'll do that at home.

Never been real big in to the bar scene, but we go from time to time
07/17/2012
Not a bar drinker. I prefer to drink at home or at parties.

I HATE bars. The drinks are expensive. Loud music means you have to shout all the time. Getting home is also an issue. Oh, and crowds suck.

I have never been much of a bar person myself. However with recent law changes (illegal to smoke in bars here in Wisconsin) I have come to enjoy them more. I only enjoy clean and well managed bars that make good drinks. But I don't go often because of how expensive it is. It is fun to go though for special occasions and such.

I like casual drinking at home. Small parties or medium parties. I like hosting. I do go to the bar, I won't avoid it. If a friend invites, sure... but that is why I try to always have people over to my home to avoid that!! Last time I went to the bar, I was just disappointed, spent too much $$ and felt grimy.

I just head to the bars a few times a year. It isn't my thing.
07/18/2012
I only go to the bar a couple of times a year to meet up with friends I haven't seen in awhile. I don't drink much, I seem to only do it at the bar.
07/18/2012
Mostly I prefer to drink at home or at a friend's place but occasionally I'll have a night with the girls/friends and drink at a bar.
07/18/2012
I prefer to drink at home.

I prefer to be responsible and drink at home. There is no hassle or second thought on who is the responsible to get everyone home because you are already there.
I do enjoy going out once in awhile, but only if we call a taxi and we have extra spending cash. It cost a lot to go out and it costs even more if you get pulled over for DUI.

I like to go to certain bars for specific cocktails or atmosphere. I also like to make drinks at home and entertain guests on the rooftop of my apartment building. Both are fun for me but it saves money to drink at home.
07/18/2012
I don't do bars I would do a club over a bar so I can go drink and dance the night away.
07/18/2012
Hubby and I don't drink much but if we have a beer or glass of wine, we do it at home. I hate bars
07/18/2012
A little of both. I prefer very select bars, lifestyle friendly clubs/bars, and drinking at home with my husband.
07/18/2012
I like going out every now and then too but I left most of my friends back home and just haven't made too many new ones here. My partner is a home-body too so I have to work him up to going out with me. I have a full bar in our apartment so that makes him even more inclined to stay home.
07/18/2012
I only drink very rarely and I don't really care where it happens.
07/18/2012
i perfer to be at home. no DWI worries
