We may or may not be in the path depending on where it goes from here. No prep yet since we're waiting to see what it does. If it comes this way and it's a category two or three we might just evacuate.

We'll get a bit of rain and wind, but we will likely have threats of tornadoes. We've got things set, anyway, for gale-force weather (Florida sometimes gets unannounced violent weather during the summer) so we're okay. My mother has her supply of flashlights, batteries, and ramen - dad has his generators and inverters - brother has his manga - I've got my knitting.

After living through Andrew in Ft. Lauderdale as a kid, this is peanuts.

Not directly, but we had some really bad storms early this morning and lightning hit our property twice in one storm which is unusual! Usually it'll just hit once if it does, but never twice! It was so loud. Our dogs just looooooooved that LOL

I live on the west coast, so no tropical storms here. I hope everyone who is in the path stays safe.

I didn't see this post before adding my poll. At first we were "in the cone." Since it's shifted west, we're not in the direct path. The rain should be starting soon, the squalls should start around midnight tonight from the bands. Work has been cancelled for Monday, and possibly even Tuesday. The only prep. I did was buy water and dry foods, bring my plants in, and make sure I have batteries and candles. I have a feeling I'll lose power because of the wind and rain. Luckily, I live on the second floor of my apartment, so no worry of flooding here!

Well now the weatherman is saying it might be shifting west and it could be headed my way.

Well I need to update my comment now. lol Looks like it might be headed right to us or right around. We made reservation at a hotel in case we need to get out of here.

Not anymore they did have it coming to Florida but now its shifted West, either way I hope wherever it ends up that there isn't much damage and everyone stays safe.

Same here - but my son is in USAF tech-school in Biloxi, MS - so we're keeping an eye on the storm because it seems headed that way.
