Are you afraid/scared of ghosts?

Or would you be if you ever met any? (Has it ever happened with you? Let's just suppose that they exist, so you have to answer what your reaction would be! ^^)

I've seen ghosts and it was unsettling.

I think at first, I'd flip out and then I'd realize what was going on and I'd just settle the situation calmly. That's assuming ghosts exist, and I don't believe in them.

I'm not really scared but I do get unsettled and nervous sometimes. I'm not particularly looking for an experience with a ghost...

Nope. However, I don't think people make good use of poltergeists. An aunt swore she had one that would open drawers and toss things. Well...if the "spirit" can move objects like that, it's time to have them do it....in a practical way. For instance, hold a "seance" where you welcome them to "stay and play", but say "as long as you are moving stuff around...why not pick up the toys and put them in the basket there, and oh...move this (a mop) around some"....etc.

You know, if the Ghost wants to be there...well, let them do something helpful for their lodging! That way they feel welcome, wanted and if not...hey, what better way to get them to leave?

Just an idea, ya know?

Only sometimes. I used to see shadow people when I was little.

Only when I don't know them (this has created some comedy when I was a paranormal investigator). Once we get used to each other, there's no problems - like when I was head of the costume department and met the ghost of the first (and longest-running) costume mistress of the playhouse. We were unsettled whenever we came across each other at first, but I made sure to greet her whenever I entered the room, and to wish her good night when I left. She settled down after that.

Not afraid, but often fear can be involved on their part. I have seen them, spirits, and don't ever care to see them again. I can also at times sense their presents and hear them. I feel like TV glamourizes this and I don't care for it.

It would depend entirely on the nature of the ghost.

I want to say no because I don't believe in them, but I think the idea of ghost and all that jazz unsettles me.

I need to be honest... as a rule, trying to make spirits "do things" for you is not always a safe idea. They don't tend to want to be controlled by the living. You have no idea what kind of spirit is is. It may want something for it's trouble of doing things for you. Also, engaging spirits, when you may not know its underlying reason for being there, or its intent can be quite dangerous. I've done some work with a local paranormal group, and even lived in a haunted house when I was a child. I've never heard of a spirit picking up or really doing anything that the living ask them to do, aside from answering a few questions or going away, if you know how to get rid of them.

Ghosts are unsettling, some more than others. Some are benign, but the ones who are not nice can be nasty. I tend to not engage them, unless I'm trying to get them to go away. And, you need to know what you are doing when you do this, too.

Also, when it comes to "poltergeists" depending on what theory you are taking on, may or may not be an actual spirit. IF it IS a spirit, they tend to be angry, disorganized and even occasionally dangerous. An other theory is that "poltergeist activity" is residual Psi energy from either a mentally unstable person, or a confused and usually angry adolescent.... there is NO way to harness that kind of energy!

No, but I have seen them.
I've seen my grandfather on numerous occasions, and I feel that he keeps an eye out for me where I was actually his favorite granddaughter. I've also seen my own son, my brother, sister (I've actually hugged her spirit), great-grandmother, and random ghosts.
I've only once run across a nasty one and it left a gash about 4 inches long on my face. Thankfully it healed without a scar.
