i like watching my neighbors. not to be noisy, just to watch how they walk, there mannerism, ect. we live way out in the bonnies, the neighbors and wild life is all we have to watch..

I like watching people at the mall or other big stores, especially bookstores. I also like to play a game with myself as I am riding in a car. I look at all the houses and try to imagine the people living in them. I don't mean anything creepy by it either.

I am a people watcher, Actually airports are the best because you can imagine where everyone is going what they are doing and their romantic getaways.

I like to watch people...when I am on break at work, walmart, you never no what kind of people you will see... and walmart is full of different people

I do the same thing! I was trying to explain to my boyfriend how I do that and he thought I was creepy! I love houses and I love old houses the most because their insides are so unique and I think that the way a person builds their home inside really says a lot about them. When I was young I had to deliver phone books to peoples houses for a youth group exercise and it was just so interesting having an excuse to walk up to peoples houses and see their home through windows (not like I walked around and pressed my face against the glass, just casual observation as I approached the front door.) I also like to watch people in cars when I'm a passenger, my boyfriend scolds me and says it's rude but I like seeing people so unguarded, I also play the "If I stare at you will you feel it and look back at me?" game in the car and I keep score of how many people I get to look over at me.

I'm a huge people watcher. It's partly because I spend a lot of time by myself in mildly interesting places. It's really amusing to watch people driving in their cars when they think they're alone.

i know the feeling. sometimes i watch the neighbors as well...to make sure they are not growing pot in our back woods.

i like to imagine myself living in the big houses...high ceilings, wood floors, a winding starecase...ballroom.

man, i need some money. if only publishers knew what a literary madman i am. alas, i will be rich as a king 20 years after i'm dead.

i like everything that you've said here! your boyfriend probably is just the kind who is uncomfortable with such things. feels awkward when someone catches him looking, or when he catches someone looking at him. maybe. i used to dislike it...because it made me feel self-concious. now i don't care so much when i catch someone. i usually smile. and if someone catches me, again, i just smile. i mean we are all just people...what's wrong with interacting a little? thanks for the post!

my wife and i as well. it's something that we have in common, and it's amazing how important a thing it is to have in common. it makes going out so much more entertaining than just talking about our day.

i don't know if i could do it online with such success as in real life. in fact, public people watching is what satisfies that part which cannot be satisfied here. as great as interaction is here, sharing intimate thoughts and details that cannot be easily shared in face to face situations, it just does not hold the same thrill or potential for actual interaction in real life that we humans require. what's great about eden is that, after having spend some time in discussions, i've found that my real life discussions have been much more enjoyable, daring, colorful...i am definitely more open after having worked through some of my inhibitions here. and that's worth gold.
