I was raised PC so it's really all I know aside from the old, clunky Macs from elementary school and middle school. If I had the money, though, I think I would buy a mac laptop, though.
Are you a Pc or Mac

I'm a PC and actually not a big fan of apple products, they may be sexy but have to many downside too them. eg no flash on the ipad, how proprietary they are etc.

Have been a Mac user since my childhood.

I prefer a Windows PC, but I'm also a fan of Ubuntu.

PC only because I've never had a Mac

I have a mac and pc

I use a PC desktop, a Mac laptop, and have a PC laptop for work. Honestly, I prefer PC because Mac has too many issues with their proprietary products. For example, I have had to replace the battery and charger for my 3 year old Mac laptop twice already because of known issues that Apple seems unwilling to address. Apple products are already expensive and now I am adding on top of that to replace parts simply to continue using it.

Go quietly into the night, Steve Jobs. Techno and management has lost a great mind and person of high ethics. RIP
I have alway purchased non-Apple products based on price and my limited usage and knowledge of "puters. My kids swear by Mac. Currenly I have a Lenova, which I do not like. I am not sure if it is that I don't like laptops (this is my first experience with laptops) or it is the Lenova company's products that I don't like. I just don't find it user friendly.

Now another thing to think about though is that the new macintosh hardware will support a pc operating system and a new pc will support a mac operating system. Since about two years ago its no longer apples vs oranges. Heres why... Originally Macintosh used a motorolla processor based system which used a what was called a power pc processor. Most PC based computers used an Intel architecture x286 x386 x486 ect. Each hardware needed a seperate software designed to operate that specific hardware. You couldent run a power pc based operating system on a PC and vice versa. Recently I dont know if it was that it was just cheaper to go PC based hardware but apple gave up the ghost with the MAC power pc platform and now all macs run pc based hardware (no more motorolla processors). So pcs run pc hardware and macs run pc based hardware. Up until 2 osx versions ago osx used to only run on power pc based architecture. Now osx is compatible with pc based hardware BUT now it isnt backward compatable to run with power pc based equipment. What does that mean? Basically if you have a power pc based mac once its done getting its updates.... Its going to be a paperweight. Thanks Apple!
Thats cool though right? you can run OSX on intel and intel on mac that great right? NO IT ISNT! I am a firm believer that Motorolla made a much better processor, much more durable heat resistant and dependable.
Chances are you will never know the difference unless you are a geek by trade like me but you might.

Lets put it this way.... Most of the Power Pc processors I used to work on.. the daughter boards had a heatsink screwed to the processor base but they never had a fan. Thats right folks no processor fan.

Thank about if you were the poor bastard that saved up 5-6 thousand dollars to buy a mac pro and you thought you were going to be able to grab updates for it for the life of the machine which could be 10-15 years depending on what you want to use it for. Oh yeah by the way.. Thanks for your purchase, but we are no longer supporting Power Pc hardware with our new OS. Good luck with the updates until we get to 10.5.9 but after that you can buy a new intel mac. Hope you saved your dough. Can you imagine if you had bought the machine right before they announced that the machine wouldent have a supported OS? I would flip the fuck out.

I love my PC laptop but I also have an iPod that I love and will probably be getting an iPhone eventually.

I have a PC. But I also have 2 iPods and an iPhone. And I would love an iPad. I just don't think I'll ever make the leap to a Mac. They're just too expensive compared to PCs.

I'm only passionate about one company: Dell sucks! they're cheap, easily breakable machines.

Yeah he works for a public school here and they use a lot of Dell's in the school along with Mac's and he seems to always have to fix the Dell's. When customer's bring them to his side business at our house we've had to fix a lot of Acer's I've noticed and Toshiba's.

The results mirror the ratio of PCs to Macs in the population in general - so in some ways we're all normal!
But in other ways we're way ahead of the crowd!
