Alton Brown, my hero.
OMG my brother is obsessed with Alton Brown, family time is funny because we all love to cook. I just had to post again because earlier today I was on the phone begging J to pay for Culinary school for me.

I really want to bake, but he got all sad when I said that because he loves my cooking and he said he would love to see me get even more into it {if possible}.

As long as I can keep my mind on it, I'm really good at cooking. Medical issues have me to exhausted to focus by the end of the day anymore, and unable to stand in front of a pot for long, so I've had some... interesting mistakes recently. My deserts, though? I've had more than my share of propositions over those. And they've gotten me banned from the kitchen because they were too good to resist.

I quite like Nigela Lawson's foodie stuff and Jamie Oliver's recipes lol. Lotsa herbs and olive oil and vegetables. Grew up in a fishing family so fresh seafood was abundant in my childhood. Nowdays I love Greek and Italian food.

I love cooking, reading cook books and cooking blogs, watching Food Network, etc. I just find that in between studying and homework I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to preparing a really nice meal. Thus Rachel Ray (or anyone who has quick recipes) is my hero. I know a lot of people who hate RR, but I think she's fabulous. I love Alton Brown too. My mom got me two of his books for Christmas.

Anyway. Someday, when I have time, I will become a foodie. Right now I'm just a wannabe.

Yea, her and Bobby vs Giada and Mario. It was good. I liked the holiday one with Kat Cora and Paula vs. Robert Irvine and Tyler Florence better though. Paula was a riot.

I can make anything with a recipe for it, and I am pretty good at making comfort foods and homey stuff that's warming and filling, but I'm no chef. Just your average home cook who'll severely affect the health of whoever she marries, lol.

Did you have to go through a lot of school for that or was a lot of it from life experiences/lessons?

I'd love to go to school to cook, but I just don't see it in my cards.

If it has less than 3 ingredients and can be made really easily, I screw it up. However the lovely 3 course meals are no problem, lol.

I love to cook, but I hate to clean. So I just don't cook.

Yes I did go to school, and I've been very blessed so far in my career with many chances to work with prestigious Chefs.
In my business, it not only is what but who you know. I've worked for some real assholes, that turned out to be fair and just. They even gave me the best letters of recommendation when I left working for them. It always works that way.
Right now, I'm working on my first restaurant opening, here in the SF bay area. So my life is more busy and fun than ever. I'm blessed to enjoy my career as much as I do. Its more of a hobby for me.
If you ever have a question about a cake that your baking for Miss C. shoot me an e-mail.

Thanks!

My biggest problem is getting past the yummy batter stage. To this day I don't think I've ever baked more than a dozen cookies...I usually just eat the batter raw.

Mr Sauce why yes. I believe you are right. I had a conversation the other day about how lucky we are too have an abundance of fresh produce readily available on a daily basis to cook with too. After living overseas I really appreciate what I have here

I can cook just about anything. I prefer using the grill. I lean towards main dishes and appetizers. I have cooked professionally in the past and was a caterer for awhile. I can do gourmet or home style. I love to cook for friends and some of the family. I watch food shows all the time. I even used to be a produce broker. And since this is a sex sight. Any food that you enjoy can be an aphrodisiac, although some foods really have power. I love to cook for women. I am a romantic. And, I know many people love to cook for their partners. Nothing like the love and comfort of being together and enjoying a meal.

I love to cook, love to experiment. You put the recipe in front of me and chances are I can make it.

Only exception: fish. Won't cook it. Won't eat it unless it has been de-fishified (in other words, I like to keep up the illusion that somewhere in the ocean there are swimming schools of fish filets, banks of perfect clean white scallops, and flocks of little fleshy curls of shrimp)

I used to really hate cooking, didn't have the patience. In high school I took some classes, and what we learned to cook I would become obsessed with. Like omelets, I won't eat them because I hate eggs but I would beg people to let me make them one lol. And they were amazing omelets. Another thing we learned to make was pie crust, so after school I would experiment and make all kinds of things with pie crust.

Now I work at a high end grocery store doing demos. I am required to cook a lot of the time. I actually enjoy cooking a little more then I did, and I really surprise my self with how good I actually am at cooking things.

But every time I cook there is nobody around to eat it. I think that's my favorite part of cooking is seeing other people enjoy it.

I made a really good chicken Parmesan for my friends birthday.

I think anyone can cook they just need to follow the directions, its easy.

I love to cook for my guy! I always have loved playing the house wife part , cleaning, preparing, etc. included. I can make just about anything, and have my own recipes even, but I stick to like idk...15 different things that are mine and my guys faves. I cycle through. His fave that I have not mastered yet is Manicotti-damn noodles!
I love to bake even more. I have this famous cake that I made by accident.

We cook often actually. It is healthier and saves money, plus we love dancing to Frank Sinatra and Ocean's 11 soundtracks in my kitchen .

Like many others, I can make anything if I have a recipe, but I pretty much stick to the same ol', same ol'. I can make ANY kind of pasta (I'm serious here), and I bake a lot. Baking is actually my most favorite thing to do, and I do it a lot. Being vegetarian for a long time has impaired my ability to cook meat, however, so, I can't do that one bit.

I guess I'm not anything near chef-material, but I keep my significant other happy.

Hahaha... your illusion of prepared fish floating around in the sea tickled me greatly. I find that, if it's the fishiness of fish (which shouldn't be too fishy if it's fresh, in my experience) that bothers you, try adding ginger to the dish. Ground ginger (well, sliced would probably work too) can negate the fishy smell.
