Uh, I don't think so? They're leggings.

Are leggings pants?

They're pretty much the same as yoga pants.
If you get the cotton ones you can't see through-they are totally pants.
I'm actually wearing leggings as pants right now!

No, they're fine under long shirts etc. where your ass is covered, but not as pants. That's what yoga pants and skinny jeans are for.

Only for really skinny people, and even then it's pushing it.

i consider it pants they are sexy. love it nice and tight showing all the curves of a woman

I love them as stocking substitutes, but I wouldn't wear them alone. Too tight. I don't want everyone to see every detail of my lower body. It's a modesty issue for me, but I don't mind what other people do.

Yea, it usually doesn't. I wish people would stop wearing leggings.

I used to wear them for jogging and going to boxing classes but wouldn't feel too dressed wearing them alone for anything else than exercise.

No way. I don't want to be subjected to your camel toe.

Maybe for some people, but I wouldn't call them pants, nor wear them alone.
I do like using them if I happen to be wearing a dress that hits at or above knee level though.
They have their place, but for the most part that's underneath long tops and dresses or short skirts.

There is a type of leggings, I have a pair from victoria's secret which fit a bit like yoga pants (but looser) and are meant to be worn as pants - for lounge purposes.
However regular leggings? definitely not although I've seen people do it.
extremely distasteful B\

Gah! I rage so hard when I see people wearing leggings like they're pants!
12/07/2012

12/07/2012
They can be worn as pants, under the right circumstances, but are not pants.

Sure, if they cover your legs and are split in two it's pants. It's just really tight pants. Like sweats are baggy ones.

Opaque leggings are a type of pants, but I rarely wear them as such. I usually wear them as if they were tights.
02/01/2013
Depends on their thickness.
02/01/2013
I used to think they absolutely were not....but I stopped fighting it nowadays

They're leggings. Though, I have to admit that I always ranted about them being pants, but over the past few years I've slowly ended up in the "wear whatever you like" camp.
02/01/2013
nope!

not sure if the skin tight, black yoga pants are considered legging or not. but i am happy they have become trendy. it is almost as if women are walking around with naked butts. not much left to the imagination. i it.
