Glass is strong, clear, and scratch resistant. Acrylic is light weight, can be made into any imaginable shape and is ultra clear.

Acrylic is lighter than glass and can withstand impact, it's also easier to clean.

my dad has owned glass aquariums my whole life and i have seen him try to clean them out, having a hard time because they weigh so much especially with water in it and he was always worried about the tank falling on us as kids.. I would prefer acrylic because it is light weight and easy to clean...

The acrylic because of the weight, glass is too hard for me to move by myself

i have only ever owned glass aquarium so i couldnt say what one is better

I have only owned the glass one we have. However I am not a big fan of it. It is a pain to clean because it is so heavy. I would prefer anything that is lighter.

Glass.

I've only experienced glass and was satisfied with it. Why ruin a good thing? I like consistency and would not want to try something new with a big investment

I like glass better than acrylic
