The New Intimacy

April 2013, EF's home page shows a beautiful young lady in cut off short, shorts hitch-hiking. Does this photo make any memories come to mind?

Mr Bignuf here, for a change. I have to admit, this will reveal my age, but every day when my wonderful wife and I click in to do our daily EF blogging and shopping, and I see that photo, I immediately get the musical sound-track of my youth start playing in my head, and in this case, it is the lines....."....and like an angel she is laying there, sun light dancing off her hair, she woke up and took me by the hand, she's gonna love me in my Chevy Van and that's all right with me....."

I will further admit that song has great sentimental value to me, since 1. I had a van in college (okay, it was a VW, not a Chevy...but hey)...and yes, Mrs. Bignuf and I spent many a wonderful afternoon "testing out the shocks" (we were a two person, shock absorber torture test crew".

My thanks to the EF ad people for sparking such a great memory for me!!!

Does that photo spark any memories for anyone else???

Mrs. Bignuf here. I have some memories too. Not of hitch hiking (never did), but of having some cut off's like those. I know it's why Mr. Bignuf even married me!!! He was always a sucker for long lanky legs and a nice butt. Thankfully, in my younger days I had both!!! Thankfully, even more so, he still thinks I do!!! (Who am I to tell him different?)

Mr. Bignuf again. Silly girl I married. Of course I liked the long legs and tight little perfect butt (which you DO still have), but that girl in the photo also has the long, long hair...like you used to have. I married you for that too! (although I still love you after cutting it far, far shorter after having our daughter to care for, rather then your hair....but hey, it's all good)!

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I sent this thread to the main guy in EF's development department. They absolutely love to see feedback like this, to know that their choices are sparking memories and inspiring romance. This seriously made my day so I knew it would make theirs. Thanks.

But as to your original question, I too found some nostalgia in the picture of when I was sixteen and running around Lake Lanier like I owned the place. I wouldn't be sixteen again if you paid me, but damn that was an amazing summer! I had the best pair of cut-offs imaginable and I still have pictures somewhere...
