Applying the Eden model in other markets

So, I think most of us would agree that EF has a pretty good thing going here. They have a great selection, awesome search features, kick ass customer service. Then add on the features like the review program, not only offering or even encouraging customer reviews but rewarding them through free and buy out items and points for reviews, providing their templates to make reviews easier, rating the usefulness of the reviews and the value of the contributors, the points program, the forums. So what parts of the Eden website model do you think are the most useful and how would you apply them in other markets? What are some other things you buy online regularly that you would love to see a site designed like EF for and why?
I'm a dog groomer so I buy a lot of my grooming equipment online and a lot of the equipment I use is really pricey! It would be awesome to have a review program like Eden's for grooming tools. I'd love to read the reviews by others or be able to get free or heavily discounted items in exchange for reviewing them! Sometimes a new item comes out and I'm curious about whether it works or how it's best used and I'd love to either read reviews on it or be able to try it out without spending a small fortune on it.
I think the key to the success of Eden's review program is the incentive to write reviews because they are providing the items cheap or deeply discounted plus the 50 points awarded for each review. I think it makes contributors more inclined to actually review items, unlike other sites where the reviews are voluntary but not rewarded in any way.

Makeup is my other love. Sephora has a review program but you don't get anything for reviewing products with them. I'd love if I could get discounts on makeup or free stuff from them. Oooh or MAC. *drools*

I think that the beauty market is a better place for the 'Eden Model' than dog grooming supplies. It works best in a place where people buy things when and how they want to, not because they need them. Make up also has a LOT larger market than grooming supplies.

I've seen some Youtube reviewers who get free makeup in the mail from big name brands and I am SO jealous!

I'm certainly not saying that there aren't 'better' markets for the model but I think most markets could benefit from the ideas. I often find myself shopping for an item and thinking 'damn, I wish they had a review program like Eden does to help me pick.' I wasn't really trying to compare markets, just see if other people had 'argh! I wish this site was more like Eden' moments and which areas they had that frustration in most. I may NEED instead of WANT new grooming shears but damn, would picking them be easier with better review process and when fancy new gadgets come out, I drool over them and covet them almost as much as I do over sex toys but can't always justify the price tags if I'm not damn sure I'll love them. Same with products like shampoos and styling and color producs. Sometimes I wanna try a new one but I'm too scared to venture away from my tried & true & tested. I bet lots of people who buy their own work tools or products would like better reviews or freebie or discount items to try!
Definitely jealous of this YouTube reviewers getting freebie beauty products! I'd be all over a makeup or beauty product site that worked like Eden!!! Especially as a performer! I'm always looking for stuff that looks good under harsh stage lights without screwing up my skin!

It'd be nice for most sites that have peer reviews, since it ensures that the people reviewing won't be predominantly the people who had negative experiences.
