Anyone else make Banana Bread from their older, browning bananas?

We always buy too many bananas...but I manage to save the day by making yummy banana breads.

I always use different recipes, but have yet to find one I would stick with as "awesome". Anyone have a great recipe to share?

Anyone else take those old fruit and turn them into something other then trash?

We do that with bananas if they actually get to that point! With three of us in our house that love bananas, it's not common that it gets to that point! That's the only fruit we use in that way. I always just look up the recipe on allrecipes.com and use the one that's highest rated! I'm horrible like that!

Old bananas are always headed for the bread batter in our house. If we have a lot of leftovers or something like old fruit we usually hit the internet to find a recipe to make sure we use the stuff if we can.

Yes I always use the browns ones. I too use several different recipes to make banana breads, muffins and cookies. My favorites use apple sauce instead of oil. Use flavored apple sauce for something different.

I just made banana bread last week!

I like making banana boats with old bananas, too! Cut a slit into the middle of unpeeled bananas and shove peanut butter and chocolate chips inside, then bake or grill!

My bananas rarely get to that point. I can buy 5 lbs of bananas and they won't ever get too brown. I love bananas a little bit too much.

Sometimes I'll purposely buy a bunch to save for banana bread or to freeze to make banana ice cream. My partner has to hide them from me.
