Any specific breed of dog you especially love....or hate? Please tell us why.

We happen to love Rottweilers. They are very smart, but easily trained. Superb and amazingly gentle with children (if raised with kids), but still big and tough enough to rough and tumble play with each other....and with us, without feeling like they will break in two! Overall....big cuddle puppies.

What breeds do you just love ( or hate)?

I love my Corgi. I love the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed. They are so affectionate and follow you everywhere. You go to throw out the trash, come back, and he's dying to see you like you've been gone for FOREVER. He was also quite easy to train.

I love pretty much 99% of the breeds out there, but I never was overly fond of the Chinese Crested breed.

I'm sure they're perfectly sweet dogs, but the hairless ones look like they got punked by a bad groomer....although they are still sort of cute anyway.

I dunno...dogs are dogs, and they're all cute in some way. ^_^

Forgot to mention my all time favorite breeds are: pugs, Alaskan malamutes, Pomeranians, and either corgi/husky or corgi/chow mixes.

My favorite breed is a Pomeranian--due to my little sweet dog. She rarely barks, loves to take care of EVERYONE, and is a snuggler. Or a Shih Tzu--mine is a sweet, quiet but stubborn little dog that makes talking noises instead of barking.

I love Pit Bulls. I have 4 of them! I'm not really a fan of small dogs, they are cute and all but I would not want one. I like big dogs.

I like all kinds, but Jack Russel terriers can be a bit much. I grew up with one and my sister has one, and they're cute and smart as can be, but I could never have one; they are too hyper. I love the ones that have been in my life, but they require more attention than I could give it--of course, I'm more of a cat person, myself.

Cocker Spaniels, it seems, are never terribly bright. They're sweet and cuddly, but I've never met one that seemed all that smart. I don't know, maybe I've just met some people with poorly trained cocker spaniels.

I really love dogs from colder climates; Huskies, Malamutes, Samoyeds, and all kinds of sheep herding dogs. They are just so pretty and seem to exemplify "man's best friend" to me. Whether they're herding, sledding, hunting, they are just such cool companions. If I ever have dogs, I'd love to have a couple of Huskies.

I also have a warm place in my heart for Bulldogs. How can you not love them? They're so ugly, they're adorable.

I have a Golden Retriever so I've a soft spot for them c: and Malamute - they are gorgeous and look like wolves and they don't shed very much and I also think they don't bark... but I'm not sure 100% on that.

I love beagle's. My son is allergic to dogs. It doesn't seem that our Chihuahua/wiener dog bothers him...so we decided we won't get any more dogs because we don't want our son suffering. I'd love to have a beagle and German Sheppard, though.

I dislike most big dogs because I am afraid of them. One attacked me and my puppy about 12 or 13 years ago and I haven't liked them since.

I have a West Highland White Terrier, so he is my favorite I like most terriers, and some of the toy breeds are pretty cute too.

I loved my Lhasa Apso. I doubt I'll ever own a dog again, but if I did I would definitely get another Lhasa Apso. She was so sweet and smart. I've always like smaller dogs, the big ones are just too much for me.

Hate is a strong word. How can you think this is ugly?

I've read that they rarely bark, and when they do make sounds, they howl or make a sort of "dog talking" sound.

Basenjis don't bark at all! That would be nice to have...I don't mind a dog barking as long as they don't bark all the damn time. That gets on my nerves.

I hear you. Corgis are HUGE barkers. The only good thing is that, once you get used to a corgi barking (they have BIG barks for such little guys), every other dog sounds like only a peep.

I love Papillons. They're SO adorable! I've never had one, but I'd love to. I also like Australian Shepherds. I had a mini version of that type and he was a good dog. My husband's dad has had tons of the big versions of them and all but one has been smart, fun, and all the other qualities you'd want in a dog.

Seconding the Cocker Spaniel dislike. I had one and he was dumb as a brick. They all seem to be a bit dim. lol Also, while I loveeee the way Siberian Huskies look, we had one and she required an insane amount of upkeep. She was gorgeous, but I'd never own another of that breed. The hair is everywhere always and when you ignored her for five minutes she'd start digging up holes.

I was reading a bit about Huskies and Malamutes, and it seems they can be really willful, independent dogs, and take more attention and extra training to be more obedient. And when they get bored, they dig holes! Maybe I'd have a Samoyed--they apparently have a more happy-go-lucky attitude. And look at them! They look like they're smiling.

I love those dogs! I've always wanted one, but i feel like it'd be unfair to the dog since its too hot for them where i live.
How can you say no to that?

Yeah, our Husky was sooo stubborn. She got bored easily, too, so our backyard was totally destroyed. They're also really good at escaping. We had to hunt her down a few times. lol

Those are so cute! Still...So. Much. Hair.

I love all dog breeds but I have a very special place in my heart for large dogs! Especially Pit Bulls ^-^
Some of the best dogs I have ever met were Pitties! I can't have a dog right now due to college taking most of my time but one day

Yeah, I think they would make good outdoorsy dogs, but when they shed...wow.

I love pitbulls because they're so eager to please and loving. I love Corgies because of bunny butts, cute head tilts, hilarious personalities, and short legs. I love mutts because they're just amazingly smart. I don't really hate any.

I love Yorkies and Dachshunds and basically all the tiny under foot creatures. I like big dogs as long as they don't jump on me.

I don't know, it really depends on the dog--the breed, the personality, how it was raised, how it's cared for, etc. I think a lot of people don't spend the time that they should with a dog and take responsibility for its training, so you get a lot of dogs that can be jumpy and clingy, and people think, hey, that's just how dogs are. But they're all different, really.

To each their own, though. No one in my family likes cats, and I adore them. I don't get how you can't like them, but that's just me.

I find the small yippy dogs very annoying.
