I've used AVG free in the past, it's very good. I also use Malwarebytes, the free version.

i use symantec antivirus. my school requires us to have a certain type of antivirus on our laptops before letting us use the wifi, & this is it. they give it to us for free. i actually love it. it's easy for me to use & it works well.

AVG Free or Avast, I've used both on different computers and I've never had any viruses.

When I get a virus and need a protection I use a combo of AVG and SuperAntiSpyware. Both are free if you get the trial versions So, if you're infected, those are your best bets!

I use Avast, and Malwarebytes. I would also recommend that you have a couple of different programs kept on a flash drive. This can help you recover your computer if it has been corrupted.

Spybot search and Destroy is a good one. Microsoft security essentials is also a good one. AVG like others said is good. All are free at Download.com.
