Just curious what you do when that knock comes or the doorbell rings...will you answer the door dressed in whatever you're wearing or must you be properly dressed?
Will you answer your door no matter how you're dressed or do you need to be your version of proper before opening the door

If I wouldn't be comfortable walking outside the way I'm dressed, I'm not opening my door that way.

Well, I have to be covered in some way but beyond that I don't care.

I will usually answer it in whatever I have on, unless something private might show, then I cover up.

I hate answering my door so I tend to want to at least be dressed and presentable. I usually have to fight the urge to hide until the person goes away.

I definitely need to be presentable.

As long as I'm not partially naked & don't mind someone seeing me in what I have on, I'll answer the door -- I may hide behind it, but I'll answer. I always check to see who it is before answering, so if it's just UPS or something, I'll get it, I don't care anymore what strangers think of how I'm dressed. Have you seen the Publisher's Clearing House commercials where people in nothing but a bath towel have answered their door & found out they won? That's not going to be me! I may looked dressed like a bag lady, but I won't be partially naked.

I need to at least be covered up.

I'm never really in a state to open the door to where I have to cover up unless I just showered....and no one knocks at the door then.

It depends on where I am. I need to be fully clothed when I'm at home. In my dorm, I'll answer the door in just a sports bra and shorts or in just a towel if I showered. My dorm is all girls, so I don't worry too much about looking presentable.

The peephole decides everything.

I've answered the door in a tank top and sweatpants (no bra) if it's a delivery person because really when will I see that person again? Even if I did see them again (for another delivery) oh well, if it was a family member i'd have a bra on and look "going outside" decent lol.

I do that too most of the time unless it's expected, I don't answer unexpected calls or door's.

It depends on who's at the door.

I feel the same way...just because there's a knock at my door or my phone rings doesn't mean I'm obligated to answer it.

No, I wont answer the door anymore unless I have to sign for packages or is someone I have been expecting.
When I was a teen, my parents went out for the night one night. So, I was home alone. I was getting scared because I was hearing knocking all over the house and my mom called about 10:30pm and she said they were on their way home which wasn't too far away and that she brought me something. So I went to finish my spaghetti when I hear a car pull up then footsteps on my porch and the rustle of keys. I was so excited that I unlocked and opened the door not expecting anyone other than my parents because who shows up at someones house this late? And there was our lawn guy...at the front door at 10:45pm asking if my dad was home. I said "no" and then he asked if my mom was there as he was looking in the house. That's when I knew for sure he was up to something horrid. I said they went to the grocery store and would be back any minute because they just called and they said to come outside to help with the groceries. That put him off and he said he would come back another day to talk to my dad....even though he said he was there to talk to my dad and my dad would be home any minute. So I guess I saved myself from either being raped by the freaky gross lawn guy or being raped and murdered by him. He would show up randomly when the cars were both gone...and I never opened the door. Once when my mom and I pulled onto our street, we saw him looking into the windows...wtf. I now have anxiety with people at my door. My boy friend or roommate open it. My mom will call and say she is at the front door for me to open it.

My roommate always runs if she's not PERFECT and it cracks me up. I'll answer the door pretty much any way as long as I'm not naked haha.
