Are you annoyed by the randomness in topics right now?

Contributor: Upyourreviews Upyourreviews
So since they started double points, I've noticed an influx on topics. Most of them are just so out there or unrelated to anything sex or just plain unimportant, lol. I figured that even though I rarely start a discussion, I will jump on this bandwagon and see how everyone feels about this. Do you come to the forums for your everyday sex conversation and get upset at all these random posts?

And I voted the second, because although I have to shake my head at some posts, I guess whatever floats their boats!

There are certainly a lot more random posts, but most don't bother me.

The thing is, what the poster might consider a worthwhile and useful post, everyone else might consider a pointless nuisance.
I only get a bit annoyed when I see people posting questions that would be better suited for the product page or could be answered by reading the reviews, and even then I don't mind it too much.
Everyone probably made a little error or two when they first joined so unless it's obvious spam or something it's best to just ignore it if it bothers you.
It'll die down a bit after the week is up most likely.

There's always been random posts. I can't say I've noticed an increase, but it's early days, and I haven't seen how many new posts are in the social yet.

ALL topics are welcome on Edenfantasys, with the exception of bestiality and other illegal activities.

People are free to post any number of topics from the kind of socks you like to how you pick your nose. If you want to join their discussion, then do so. If not, scroll past and pick a different discussion to join.

I agree with Stormy.

Sex is fun to talk about, but I'm friends with a lot of people on this site and I like to talk about other things as well. As long as it isn't something against the EoC, I don't have a problem. Some threads are pure fluff, but that is OK, too.

I forgot that double points was happening and I was incredibly confused by the influx of strange topics. But if it brings people to the site (and forum) and gets the EF community chatting-- then it is really serving its purpose. No matter the quality for the forum topic, I guess.

I've seen a couple of posts that don't even really qualify as "posts", things that have 1 word for the topic and maybe an emoticon as the content. I'm sure those will be flagged immediately for spam and removed, though.

The rest, eh, it's all fair game

I think often, people who are new to EF don't realize that they are able to search for previous posts, and I've seen maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany posts that have been asked almost weekly, and I just ignore those. I sometimes give them links to the previous questions so they can get more of an answer, but for the most part I'll just close out and ignore it if I've answered it 10 times already

I really like some of the Eden Ten Year posts that have gone up and the posts that make me feel warm and fuzzy where my heart should be.

If there is a post that seems kind of out there... I just carry on reading and don't think twice about it. We've got that option too.

But now I really want a thread posted by Stormy on how to pick ones nose. Step by step instructions please!!! Although to be honest, I'd much prefer one about natural ways to get my whites whiter!!! Damn you dust storms!

Step 1) Make sure no one is looking.
Step 2) Dig, dig, dig.

(Kidding, I expel nose gold in the shower while facing the drain.)

As for your teefies, baking soda works. Peroxide works even faster but it's more abrasive. And did you know vinegar is a great stain fighter and fabric softener for clothing?

I don't always want to talk about sex. I find random posts pretty entertaining sometimes. But if it's obviously someone trying to get points I find those pretty annoying.

LOL. -picks nose- just kidding.

Not at all, the forums are not just for sex topics. We are a vast community that enjoys sex for sure but we have other interests that are fun to talk about.

All topics are random. Don't get annoyed with topics. If you help someone out; even with a question that has been repeated multiple times. You can be rewarded because you were helpful. So, I am not annoyed with any topic.

Yes, ALL topics are random. I don't know, the way I look at it is this: being annoyed by what's posted on the forum (that clearly is NOT spam) is kind of like being pissed off that someone smiled at you in passing. It doesn't make any sense to me.

It seems the same amount of randomness it has always been to me.You only get points for starting three topics per day I've seen people that post 6 or 7 random topics before the double points week.I don't think they are doing this for the points some people just like to talk.

There always seems to be a lot of randomness on the forums even when it isn't double points. It does get a bit annoying when there is an influx, but it's alright. I don't see a point in being mad at it, if I don't like the topic I just don't click on it and it makes it better =]
