Can getting a lot of free stuff be an addiction to free stuff?

My friend thinks I am addicted to free stuff. I do coupon, and I fill out for stuff if a company is giving stuff away. Is that wrong of me? Does that count as an addiction?

I don't know if it 'counts', but I've been there too. If it's getting in the way of your regular life functioning, then it would certainly be a form of addiction. I've tried to think a bit more before I accept or apply for free stuff - do I need it? Do I already have something similar? Do I want to spend the energy moving this when I transfer to a new apartment? Stuff like that. I've found its cut down on the amount of junk I keep that I don't need and/or never use.

I'd say not, but it is highly possible! Lol. I'm a super cheapie and I've had a few encounters myself that had me worried. Lol. I love waiting for my freebies in the mail. I get really wild on some freebies! I use a lot of sites that update their freebies and am always stocked with shampoo and hair care samples. My mom actually brought me back a whole zip lock bag (the big one!) full of hair care and soap samples from her vacation this weekend! Lol. She always gets extra samples from the motels for me. Ha Ha. I even snagged the dish detergent when we went to panama. I also asked the housekeeper of our motel if we could get extra pond's face wipes because they leave us free packs in the room & we ran out. She gave me a year's supply! I loved them babies and just finished my last pack months ago. They also leave us really cool razors. (We visit the same hotel) and since I was a housekeeper at a hotel in my area, I usually get along well with the ones where we stay on vacation by chatting about the job & they give us extras! Lol.

Just tonight I was at walmart using my free coupon for John Frieda hair dye! Lol. I hope I never get addicted. I just see it as being very thrifty and smart Unless you started like seriously scamming and stealing lol

Nope, that is most of America. Just turn on the tv, every company uses this tactic to get customers to come in and buy things. There have been a number of studies and papers written on this.
My wife does the same thing. She will spend hours on line to get a free hat or coupons or something. And she will do it everyday. To each their own, I guess.

I think so, because I am addicted to giveaways. I love getting free stuffs. I probably won like $300 worth of cosmetics, and I still want more

I'd say it can become an addiction, Now depending on what your ordering I wouldn't say its a bad thing. Theres a reason why people get paid the big bucks to maintain sales and coupons and all. People will buy almost anything as long as its on sale or clearance.

I also have a site that I use to get free samples from companies. If you would like the site send me a message.

I'm addicting to couponing and getting free things but I think it might be one of the healthiest addictions.

I don't think there's anyone in the world who doesn't like getting free stuff. I'm not sure it counts as an addiction unless it is getting in the way of how you live your life.

Is getting free stuff preventing you from living your life?

I've gotten so many free things from the internet. I do surveys for companies and they send me free stuff to try out. I coupon, get free samples, and we know all about this site. There's nothing more exhilarating that not paying a cent for things.

My favorite free stuff place is CVS.
