So my last post asked if you cared where your furniture was made at and how much the price affected your purchase.
Do you think that the loss of jobs, jobs that take a craftsman with a long studied skill, are doing damage to this country? Is getting a piece of furniture for 10% less really worth the loss of that American job? ( I am not picking on anyone here, just curious about peoples opinions). I have heard a lot of people say that the job market changes and people need to change with the market, but how much change do you think is healthy for us? I feel that pretty soon you will only be able to get a job in service, sales, or government.
I use a lot of different types of tools in my line of work, also at home for hobbies; and I can not find a power tool that is not made in China. And that saddens me. I know that it is a combination of too many tax's and fee's on corp's, corp greed to keep the profit margin as high as possible, and customer purchasing decisions.
