Cracked.com here again, this time bringing you some really neat looking houses. I got a degree in interior design, and it's always really cool to see things that are a little less run of the mill when it comes to housing design. Sure I know the most "effective" formula for putting together a house that flows well, but show me something that looks cool every now and then!

Thus I bring you 9 houses you won't believe people actually live in. Even I was surprised at some of these, although that zombie proof safe house I've seen before. With the same zombie proof jokes, lol.

That treehouse would make me seasick. Can you imagine the sway involved when there is wind....sheesh.

That island house makes me nervous that it would flood! And I think the bubble house looks pretty odd, but I dig different home designs. I'm one of those people who dreams of having a super eco-friendly hobbit hole house, living in a yurt or converting shipping containers into a mod pad.

The tiny houses are pretty crazy, but the egg one was insane. I don't think that counts as a house.

I would love to live in most of these places! I also think the egg house would be great for college students in some majors who really only sleep at their places.

The egg one is pretty insane. I'd definitely live in the one betweem 2 rocks or the hobbit house though.

Some guy made a real hobbit house. Not the eco one you see there, but one that looks like it was air-lifted in straight from Middle Earth!

Personally, I kind of like the bubble one. I like architecture that's a little outre.

Will check out the zombie-proof house next time I visit Warsaw. I hope they don't have a high fence and I will be able to see something from the street.

Bubble house and the Hobbit hole are lovely!
