Thanks for the link! I've read about about Holmes and O'Hara before - it's always quite interesting to look at the characters from such a perspective. Love the points about Ariel and Belle

That's quite interesting, though I'm still a little unsure of the Holmes one. Certainly, he shares several traits with an Asbergers friend of mine, however, my friend is incapable of acting in any other way than the socially awkward man that he is, yet Holmes was an expert actor, capable of portraying anyone, so that makes me a little hesitant. Otherwise, I found the article to be quite hilarious!

Hahaha, I was reading that yesterday and Glinda and O'Hara describe my husband's ex perfectly. It was so weird to read it and be all like "omg I know somebody like that!!!" I thought the article was pretty awesome all around, I honestly never thought of the little mermaid being a hoarder until I read that. Then I was like "whoa." lol

I love Cracked. I get stuck on the site for hours. I just read two articles -- one Sam linked us to a while back on the natural disasters that changed the face of the earth, and the five things websites are still doing that need to stop.

What 'The Wizard of Oz' movie forgot to mention is that in the Oz books, Glinda has the 'Book of All Knowledge' meaning that she knows EVERYTHING that is happening and WILL happen. She also certainly has more power than Princess Ozma (the royal ruler of Oz).
In all, she's taken on more of an Ancient God role similar to the Greek pantheon in which she has enormous power but uses it to meddle in the lives of mortals, munchkins, witches, and all.
Scarlett O'Hara doesn't surprise me. I always thought she was a spoiled brat. Of course, if her character were male and did that stuff, nobody would blink an eye.
Sherlock Holmes doesn't surprise me, either. He screamed 'autistic' when I first read about him in junior high. And his acting does make sense - I knew plenty of actors back in high school and college who were autistic. They felt more comfortable taking on a role than 'being themselves'.

Loved this!! So funny, my oldest said something very similar about the "Good Witch" in the Wizard of Oz the other day. He mentioned that she had the ability all along to send Dorothy home but makes her risk her life. He said, and I quote, "The Good Witch sucks, I would have been pissed!!" hahaha

Thanks for posting. I always thought there was something off about Glinda, even as a kid. When she finally told Dorothy that she could get home by clicking her heels, my reaction was, "Why the Hell didn't she tell her that in the first place?!" I felt she basically exploited Dorothy's predicament to off her enemies while keeping her hands relatively clean.
