do you really think everyone will die in 2012? If so what do you plan on doing before you die this year?

I don't believe the hype. It's just a reset of the Mayan calendar and people have jumped to conclusions like the sheeple they are.

No, I'm not sure, but I'm not buying most of the hype about it. That's not to say that it won't happen though. I do believe that the rapture will happen soon. From what I've read in the bible, a lot of the "signs" have already come to pass. Although I am Christian, it still scares me really bad to the point where I even try not to think about it anymore. There's just so much more I want to experience in life.

Nobody can really know what will happen and in the bible it says he will "come like a thief in the night," meaning most won't be expecting it. That is if you believe in God. I do so that's what I go by.

Um... no. I do not believe that.

I don't think the end is near, in regards to any belief or "prediction." ; I'm more worried about paying my bills in a somewhat timely manner than something that's not going to happen for billions of years. (Uh, I'm talking about when the sun finally collapses).

I believe nothing will happen, or maybe the world will blow up and everybody is going to die. I can't change it, so I'm resigned to whatever fate there will be. But...12/21/12? Really? I don't buy it for a second.

A bunch of lies. How can anyone predict something so phenomenal? They can't even predict the weather for tomorrow or the exact age of the Earth.

I read an interesting article, a while ago, written by a priest that gave examples of times, both in the near and distant past, that talked about times where these signs seemed to come to pass, to indicate this fore-coming rapture - yet we're still here .

I'm not worried about it; when it's my time to die- it's my time. I'm a Christian and my husband and I are both prepared according to our beliefs.

No. And I get sick of people worrying and scaring others about it. Just in the time that we all have been alive, how many times has this supposed to happen? Not to mention how many times this was supposed to happen before we were born!? And its another way for assholes to make money like that one old dude (whats his name?) with the recent Rapture and people selling all their belongings and giving him their money then time come and SHOCK we're all still here!
I don't attend church like I should but I was raised Catholic. I've talked with my grandma about this many times and read the part in the Bible about the Rapture and the Apocalypse. My grandma knows more about that stuff than anyone I know of and she calmed my nerves when people had me all worked up back with the while Y2K thing. I believe it won't happen in our life time, our children's or even theirs. If it happens at all. But for those who believe in God, the true believers KNOW that NO ONE knows when this is going to happen. They can predict their hearts out but NO ONE KNOWS. Just like NO ONE still knows the actual truth about how we got here because there is NO HARD PROOF. God, Evolution, whatever. It's one of life's mysteries.
Instead of working people up into a frenzy how about those people put their time to some GOOD use and lets all just LIVE life?!
If you're a person of faith or believing in a higher power, the only way we are going to find out anything is when we die. I like to believe that there is something more after life and that I won't be all alone and someone will be there to embrace me. But whatever your beliefs are, you can't push them on others or proof them beyond a reasonable doubt so keep it to yourselves and just LIVE! Ya know what I'm saying?
Also to add, many Rapture "signs" have come and gone, some more than once! My grandma pointed that one out to me.

Excellent. Yes this is how I feel too. I am more worried about things that are going to happen this week/month than when the sun will turn super nova and roast this planet. The prediction of the end of the world has come to pass I think five or six times since I have been alive and I am only twenty six. Pretty sure the world is still turning. If it is going to end completely, I do not wish to know. I would like to live the way I chose to and die happy and clueless than be in panic mode until the end.

Now for a major disaster/revolution/ma ss chaos ..... that may happen, who knows, so my man and I both have "bug out bags" and are "survivalists" in the event of something catastrophic happening.
