I agree. It has a better zoom, higher megapixels, and just looks better overall.

I'll third that. The ratings and the higher megapixels definitely make up for the $10 price difference in my book.

Just another possibility... I've always found Nikon to be a VERY good camera, both digital and film.

This is a similar camera with 12MP instead of 10MP and it's significantly cheaper. It's not waterproof, which might be a deal breaker for you. But I've had no experience with either brand you've listed and I trust Nikon to always give me excellent quality.

I actually have a Nikon Coolpix, and although it's a slightly different model than the one shown, it's a great all-around camera. It has tons more features than I'll ever need, but it's easy to use, takes great photos, and lasts. My only issue with mine is that it takes AA's, not a small rechargeable battery like other cameras I've had.

I agree, I've used Nikon from consumer cameras all the way up to their multi-thousand dollar professional models, and it's usually the first camera brand I recommended when I worked in camera stores. However, since both cameras you posted are waterproof, it seems as though this is a must for you. To be honest, I would recommend the fuji. They've been making waterproof cameras for a long time, and the difference in megapixles and zoom is so small you would never notice it.

Here's a link to reviews of the Fuji. The site didn't have reviews of the Samsung. Samsung is more of a general electronics brand, while Fuji has been in the camera business for a long time, and the technology they put into their pro cameras tends to trickle down to the rest of the line.

I chose waterproof because if my camera was dropped in water it would be fine and waterproof sounds cool too...I don't know wich one to get anymore. I think I like samsung one better I watched a youtube reviwe it has alot of featurures I especially liked the "beuty shot"

I've never had a Samsung camera, so I can't really say for that one. I had a fujifilm camera once though and it didn't fair too well. The shutter was constantly having issues and I had to send it in for repair quite a few times. Since then I've always had Kodak cameras and they've lasted much better.

These are all kind of medium to lower tier cameras. If I had to rank the brands, I'd go

Tier 1: Nikon, Canon, Olympus

Tier 2: SOME Samsungs, Casio

Tier 3: Kodak, Samsung, Fuji

By far, we had the most returns on Kodak. Nikon, Canon were the top sellers.

But really, pick whichever one you like better and think you'll get more use out of. They will both be very similar in terms of quality, there is no obvious choice here.
