Have you ever had a 'rare' House cat? I own a Norwegian forest cat (rather, she owns me!) And she's my baby, Normally they are 1000 dollars but we adopted her from the shelter for 100. Any body else have a 'rare' house cat? (Russian Blue, Norwegian Forest cat, Ragdoll, Ragamuffin, etc)

Maine Coon. And she is a bitch!! But lovable to me.

I'd like a Russian Blue ... quiet, dignified cats that like calm environments and routines.
I did have a Coon-mix, but the ex-husband got her in the divorce.

We have a maine coon that we adopted.

We had a Russian Blue, but don't any longer. I miss him. He was sooo pretty, and so sweet Now we have 2 tortoise shell calicoes, one darker colors, and one lighter, cinnamon-ish colors, lol. We recently took in a pure white male with severe nerve damage. He's doing much better now These 3 are more than enough for us, lol.

I have two cats now, but maybe in the future I will get a Savannah or a Bengal.

I've always wanted a Russian Blue!
We have a.... well to be honest, I don't know what he is! But he is the best kitty in the world. Super affectionate, obedient, and clean =)
AND
His name is Cheeze. =)

I have a Turkish Angora (the cat in my avatar), but I don't know how rare that is.
She was a rescue cat.

I really do want one.
Some purebred rescues can be the way to go!

yes, i have a russian blue, and the other was labeled by the shelter a 'domestic medium hair.' but he looks almost identical to my russian blue... save a bit shorter hair, and more white on him.
i love them both. they're the sweetest kitties. those are the 'rare' kind to me!

I always end up getting the cats nobody else wants, so no fancy cats for me.
12/27/2011
We always rescue our pets. Or they just fall into our laps, as in the case of our current cat, so no exotic cats here.

Shortly after rescued/being de-flea-ed and having a ton of mats cut out of her hair, which took over an hour and continued as I kept finding them for days.
Her hair is now really trouble-free and doesn't even require daily brushing.
Looking like a totally different cat with her summer coat.
How she usually looks, being skeptical of new cat.

I am allergic D:
