"To be fair, "pegged" is a legitimate fashion term referring to narrowly folded and rolled cuffs. "Boyfriend" jeans are a relaxed fit. The name is just the (unfortunate) combination of the two ideas."

boyfriend means they act like they are borrowed jeans.. so that would mean this is womans jeans.
