Sex toy party games?
So around last month, I posted something about thinking about having a sex toy party, and I finally worked up some nerve, and asked a few people. And.

Hm. Tricky, since I'm still a spring chicken for this game, but I'm old enough to remember classrooms with chalk boards, and when the teacher's pets got to go outside to clean the erasers.

Yes, I was one of those pets.

And yes, there is a good chance I was a teacher's pet simply because of how much I WANTED to clean those erasers.

Oh I remember the days...I was the same way! Wanted all that chalk dust up my nose and in my hair and hands in the worst way!

I remember when Sega Genesis was the best gaming platform on the market.

I remember when kids actually played outside with their friends instead of teaching each other how to use the latest technology.

I remember when Barbie Dolls were just dolls, not symbols of gender-specific oppression. And yes, the boys played with them, too.

Sega Genesis rocked my face. Earthworm Jim, Aladdin, The Lion King, and Sonic the Hedgehog. I miss them so much.

I remember getting stuck in trees and hiding in bushes to "snoop" on neighbors. Outside is awesome.

Man, I forgot about The Lion King. That was a fun game. All the bugs you had to catch and eat.

I remember when you didn't have call waiting, you had a rotary dialing phone and your answering machine had a tiny tape in it.

I remember when the choice at the video store was Beta or VHS.

I remember the Commedore 64 computer and floppy discs.

I remember how mad my mother would get when a girl friend of mine would call and leave entire songs on the answering machine tape. If I recall correctly, she had a thing for TLC.

I remember when you rented your rotary phone from the phone company.
I remember when Pong came out as a video game.
I remember when MTV premiered and actually showed music videos.
I remember sitting in the front seat as a kid without using seat belts let alone having car seats.
I remember who shot J.R. Ewing.
I remember the Billy Jean King vs. Bobby Riggs battle of the sexes.

This is a depressing game.

I remember all that, especially the floppy disks. The first computer I ever used was an Apple II. That was at school. At home, we had a typewriter. My first video game console was a Bentley Compuvision. Got an Atari 2600 a little later on.

I remember when Polly Pockets were actually pocket sized (and a choking hazard).
I remember when there were ads on Nickelodeon for the first Kidz Bop and Now albums.
I remember getting the original XBox for Christmas.
I remember when Diary of a Wimpy Kid was just a free web comic, not a movie franchise.

I'm too young to come up with many of these.

I remember when we had to go down to the convenience store to use the pay phone when the homeline got cut out - and calls were a quarter.
I remember when pagers were considered a luxury, and that any kids that had one were automatically assumed to be drug dealers.
I remember when Dan Quayle misspelled "potato".
I remember when gasoline was UNDER $1.
I remember when Michael Jackson was black.
I remember when the Challenger exploded.
I remember when the Berlin Wall came down.
I remember a life before the internet.

I remember when gas was .79 per gallon, cigarettes were .99, payphones were .10, playing Atari, MTV debuted, Cabbage patch Dolls, GI Joe dolls, Fisher Price Little People and their dollhouse, metal Hot Wheels with wire axles, bicycles with hard, rubber tires, when Elvis died.

My husband was 11 when Challenger went down. Kid obsessed with NASA, he got to stay home from school to watch the launch on tv with his mom. He was inconsolable for days. So sad.

I remember when DVD's came out and my mother believed them to be disposable. Our whole family seriously believed the disks "went bad". Imagine our confusion upon renting a disk.

if you've read my bio, then you will know that I can remember when:
there were no electronic or computer games
when there were 2-party phone lines
we could only watch TV in black & white
J.F.K. was killed w/ the whole country watching on TV
Martin Luther King was killed
there were no airconditioners
the Hells Angels were the only motorcyle gang
The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Beatles were a huge craze
girls wore those awful white clunky shoes to school
beatnicks evolved into hippies
and I still remember a lot more

I remember going to bed at 8 p.m. was my curfew because I had to get up at 5 a.m. and literally walk a mile to get to the bus stop, when computers first came out in classrooms, and watching tv in my History class when the Challenger exploded. I even remeber when kids were seen outside playing

I remember the exact date that the Pink Panther played its first episode on the tele (right on my birthday) in the 70's. I even remember when Atari was the IT in gaming systems and I still didn't have one as a kid.

I too remember renting the landline phone from the phone company. And days long before everyone had cell phones.

I remember typing school papers on a manual typewriter.

I remember my first computer had cassette tapes for programs (not even a floppy drive)!

I remember when you could rent a VCR at the video rental place, because they didn't expect everyone to have their own. And it could sit on top of your console TV that doubled as a piece of furniture, had knobs instead of buttons, and didn't even have a remote control.

I've been beat on most of these already. But here are my oldest memories:

1. Atari 1600 and 2400
2. The original Garbage Pail kids
3. Nerds cereal
4. Star Wars cereal (with the Luke mask on the back)
5. When leg warmers and sweat pants were considered "hot and spunky"

I'm pretty young, but it still frightens me sometimes to think about all the things that have changed during my lifetime. I'm old enough to remember when:

I had a portable cassette player.
Everyone used floppy discs.
Pluto was a planet.
Beanie Babies were a huge craze.
Most people didn't use the internet.
The "peace process" often referred to Northern Ireland.

I remember when you wanted to change the channel, you got up and changed it.

I remember when the VHS player had a "remote", and you plugged it into the front of it with a loooooong cord.

I remember when you had those three layer cable boxes, and you could pick up HBO by sticking toothpicks under two different numbers and wiggling it just right.

I remember when you wanted a color monitor, you hooked a small TV up on top of your computer.

I remember when printer paper had tractor feeds on both sides.

I remember when my parents got our first microwave, and my mom thought she could cook a roast in 4 seconds instead of 4 hours.

I remember when it was safe for my parents to let me go bikeriding all over town by myself for hours without worrying anything bad would happen.

I'm with Kindred - this is a depressing game

I remember when the hot new toy was the little keychains that had electronic pets.
When spagettii straps became the hot new thing, and our schools change their dress codes so you couldnt wear them.
