"The Silicone Alternative" - how I referred to sex toys when speaking with a coworker who was feeling fed-up with men the other day. A few minutes later, I thought, "Huh, that'd be a neat band name, actually."

A birthday card from my grandmother that came today had the phrase "No Such Thing As Birthdays" on it (the card itself was very cute, despite how depressing that phrase sounds). That might be a neat band name, too.

OneTouch (diabetic supplies) = Christian 'rock' band every time I see it. x'D

On a side note a few of the usernames I've thought up over the years would do well for a band name. (not this one obviously)

I was listening to Windows Media Player a few years ago, and one of the patterns for the display that you could choose was called "gemstone matrix." I can't help but think that Gemstone Matrix would be a great band name, perhaps for a techno-driven dance band.

I'd like to see a band named "Performance Canceled".

On my laptop, never published ... I'm still trying to figure out where the BBC hid the brain-raping device in my house because my ideas keep getting stolen by Steve Moffat. (Oh, and the reference had to do with a member of the Black Sun and an Emperor Dalek, and that's what the companion called them - then she realized it would make a great name for a band.)

The Brain-Raping Device sounds like a band name.

I always think of cool band names based on silly things people say, and then forget them soon after... I should really start keeping a list.
