Regardless of your age, gender, job or physical condition.....do you suffer what you would call fairly frequent low back pain?

Yes, I do, but only in the mornings when I first get up. The mattress we have hates me.

I voted "other" because I'm not sure if I'd call it "fairly frequent". I do get lower back pain every so often though. I'm just not sure if you mean daily, few times a week, etc.

I work retail and have a rather large chest for my size. I'm popping pain pills frequently and using icy hot every night.

Unfortunately I do, at only 19

Fortunately, I don't.

No back pains thank goodness, especially because I am a nurse and I am always pulling pt's up and around.

Nothing beyond the occasional menstrual cramps or after doing a lot of yard work, etc.

Yes I do, unfortunately. I herniated two back discs a few years ago (with the one in between them bulged as well). Some days it's not so bad, others I can barely walk or stand up straight. Doesn't help that my mattress is horrific as well.

boyfriends mattress hates me- but i love my boyfriend.

a few times a month, all depends on work.

Yes I do have lower back pain.

Sciatica flares up here and there since I slipped and landed hard on a tile floor a few years ago.
The only time I suffer frequent back pain is when I wait too long to replace my mattress.

Yup - a few times a month.

Yes!

I golf about 1/week - and that twisting stoke can make anyone's back ache.
I wear a neoprene brace - more to keep the area warm than for support.
I also exercise the area by doing what I refer to as a reverse crunch. It does a great job of strengthening my lower back. I lay face down - arms at my side and lift my shoulders and heels up about 6-8" each - then lower them. I'll do 3-4 sets of 50.
You can make it harder by putting your hands in front of you or holding the crunch longer. You can aslo make it easier by leaning up against the wall - and well - making a thrusting motion with your hips. And yes it's good practice for stand-up doggie sex - or pegging!

I don't have any lower back pain because I do stretching everyday; but I do suffer from neck and shoulder pains, when I forgot to keep my posture straight.

Every day since the car wreck!!!! Three years of learning how to live with a herniated disc.....

No, but my sister does. She has had lower back pain for years since her first pregnancy. Sometimes pregnancy can really throw things out of wack back there!

I voted other. Low back pain is fairly infrequent for me but I have almost constant pain in my upper back and neck. My lower back will decide to join in when I've been on my feet too long or the weather is changing. Then my left leg will start to flare up with nerve pain which will often extend into my hip and lower back. And I'm only 23! I have some really bad back alignment issues, though. Probably congenital or developed when I was very young, as it was first noticed when I was 8 or 9 and my mom brought me with her to the chiropractor she was seeing just to get me checked out for scoliosis and such. I don't have scoliosis, but I ended up seeing him pretty regularly because my back just doesn't curve right. Scoliosis is a curve from side to side, but my back curves in where it should curve out. It means my posture is not great and it can be pretty hard for me to get comfortable. I've had lots of back pain since I was maybe 16 or so, andpeter since I was 19 or 20 the pain has been pretty much a daily thing. I need to start seeing a chiropractor again, it has been a few years since I had one.

Yes quite often. One of the vertebrae is twisted and protrudes out. It's constantly bothering me, painful all the time and causes my whole lower back to ache.

Have constant pain, but is so much better after having surgury last year.

When I was in ninth grade, something happened to my lower back when I was tying my shoe and I had to go home because I couldn't move without excrutiating pain. I never went to a doctor about it, and I still get pretty bad pain in the same spot almost daily.

I have upper back pain, not lower back pain, so I went with other. Mine hurts because I hunch over a laptop all day long.
11/01/2012
Sometimes, more so between my shoulder blades.
11/01/2012
I have near-constant back/shoulder/hip/knee pain. Fibromyalgia is pretty common in my family, it's loads of fun.

Not an issue
