Pretty much all of my favs are alternative rock bands. I grew up listening to alt. rock mostly 90's and it's stuck ever since. I started listening to HANSON when I was 8 years old and fell in total love with their music and have been a die hard fan ever since! They are just beyond amazing in my book. I've been waiting to see them in concert since I was a kid and finally they were coming close to my area 2 months ago and I planned it all out. The drive was a couple of hours, but I was determined. I nearly cried the day I found out they were coming. I was ready to jump out of my skin all day and my partner came home from work and swore for 20 minutes I was up to something. Said I had a sneaky look on my face and finally I jumped up and told him we were going to see HANSON! He said "Omg, you're kidding, please?" I said oh, no buddy! Then I remember telling him nothing would stop me, unless it was some freak accident and I said if I don't get to see them, I will cry. This has been pretty much my life long dream! Sadly, the day before the concert we were hit with a freak accident all right. A tornado! One that wiped out area out. I call it a freak accident because we live on a mountain where tornados are unheard of. Never had one until then! Of course! So I missed it.
My next fav is three days grace, but I'm a serious alternative rock fan of tons! I was blessed enough to get to see 3 days grace though and am going again soon. I love them! Saliva, Nirvana, Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, etc. Those are some of my top favs. I also love some of the Christian bands like Casting Crowns (strange how different favorites can be!) I actually saw them in concert last month! Amazing, of course.
