Others I like include goth, industrial, folk and folk rock, etc.

Mostly I listen to classical. We go to a lot of classical concerts.

It tends to change with my phases. Mostly rock, I guess.

I'm a sucker for most of these (save screamo/etc), but I also really like classical/instrumental , as well as dubstep (which is not techno).

I posted other to replace Techno, I love EDM (electronic dance music), but not Techno, even though it's part of EDM. My personal prefrences include Rave(music genre), oldschool hardcore, happy hardcore, hardcore xD, jungle (non-ragga prefered), darkstep, Glitch/IDM, Drum and bass (which is not dubstep!!! Do the research if you are confused by that comment, I may even explain this....), hardstyle, chiptune, Electro, Trance, bleh the list goes on honestly. I am actually wanting to dj for the local scene around here, and I'm working on getting my first set up soon.

Other music genres I like include but are not limited to Classical, Rock, Jazz (but not blues), Funk, Metal (symphonaic, power, math/technical, nu, alternative, etc etc), Punk, Industrial, Video Game compositions, Bleh my list can go on forever honestly. xD I never try to limit myself to one type. I'm always so fascinated by the way people can express themselves through music. Also to note I enjoy hip-hop, but only when the message is positive or talks about real issues... Jedi Mind Tricks, Del the Funky Homosapian, and Cunninglynguist are a few that come to mind in this catagory.
