Currently, neither. I gave up on Homestuck because I was too far behind and it was too frequent for me to catch up and keep up. I've never seen MLP, though I want to. I just don't have the motivation to do, well, pretty much anything. Lol.
EDIT: Also, I'm going to assume you're a Tumblrer. I can sense it.

Never heard of Homestuck and never knew they had a MLP on the web. I would be interested in the MLP.

I just got the Tumblr vibe because you can't go on Tumblr for two seconds without seeing Homestuck and MLP. Lol. I used to go on it quite frequently but now, I'm more of a casual reblogger than anything.

What is Homestuck?
03/17/2012
I have no idea what Homestuck is...

The one time I googled 'homestuck' I wasn't terribly impressed so I'd have to pick MLP: FiM.
So unless I happen to have screwed up my google search somehow it's an easy choice.

Both fandoms can be really irritating, but I enjoy MLP.
03/18/2012
Homestuck! It amuses me so much! Especially the fandom itself and the fanfiction for it. Haven't gotten into MLP: FiM so far. But friends keep nagging me to look into it so I might.

I'm a pony girl myself. I've tried to get into Homestuck a few times, but I am not a fan, it's not my thing. So My Little Pony it is!
03/19/2012
Neither.

my little pony. mostly cause i find its popularity outside the target demographic hilarious. also its actually a well written show.
i'd never even heard of homestuck till last weekend.

I had my first run-in with the Homestuck fandom at a convention this past weekend. They did not make a great first impression. And I still have no idea what it is, except that there's grey people.
03/22/2012
They are both equally good in my opinion. Neither caught my love after a decent amount of exposure to each, but they were both enjoyable enough.

I like neither.

Homestuck. MLP is just too childish for me. Homestuck can be difficult to get into at first, but the story is very complex and I love how every single detail becomes important later in the story.
Both fandoms have gorgeous fanart, however! Even though I don't personally like MLP I can appreciate the art.

Homestuck is an interactive webcomic. The plot gets very complex, but it starts out being about some kids who are playing the beta of a game that is sort of like Sims but in real life (you can control/move around the furniture in your friend's house as opposed to a sim's house). It involves a LOT of reading, and it takes a while for the plot to pick up, and the art is generally nothing special. The fans are known for being largely terrible, but there's a lot of gorgeous fan art. Hope that helps!

I like both. But they both have flaws. Homestuck got a little too game heavy for me recently and I had trouble catching up. I also didn't really get into it until the trolls showed up.
They're very different things though and I'm not into comparing things so different if I don't greatly prefer one over the other.

I don't really see how these can be compared. Homestuck is a non-linear, extremely long and convoluted webcomic, while MLP: FiM is a cartoon meant for young children that happened to garner a completely different audience than expected.
Personally, I enjoy Homestuck more, as the characters are more developed, the story has a lot more going on, and the world building for troll society is extremely fascinating.
However, like I said, they can't really be compared.

I really enjoy both, and have met many wonderful and not so wonderful people through both fandoms. I think they're both excellent, and definitely varied in fanbase.
