Where do you get your books from?

So I'm a book junkie and I am always buying new ones. Because of this I look for cheap. I get mine at walmart, alibris.com, amazon, and target.

Books at the library are free! I love the library one village over. We have to buy our library card from the village that serves our school district. (it's about $300.00 a year. It is because we are unincorporated, and our taxes supposedly don't go for the library. I know we pay more than anyone in the village pays for their card on their taxes.) I don't like this library, so we go one village over and they have an amazing library.

If it's a book I want to keep (I collect first editions from Stephen King) so I usually go to Amazon or once in a while B&N. There are few independent book stores where I live. There is a used book store, but I prefer to go to the library.

I always get good deals at Amazon. I wish we had a good bookstore close to us, but there are only chains and not many.

Libaray, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Paperbackswap, garage sales, charity book sales, thrift stores, you name it.

I get a lot of my books on amazon. Once in a while I'll splurge and buy something on impulse from Barnes & Nobel (I like to throw them some business when I can, I'm so scared they'll fold). I generally prefer amazon though, you really just can't beat the selection!

The library, first and foremost. If it's a book I want to own, I look at secondhand book shops in town or at Goodwill/Thrift shops. I will buy it from B&N if I need to.

from where ever I can find it for the cheapest. Ebay is a good place. I have only had a problem with one purchase, and my money was refunded the next day. Amazon is ok, but I have had a few problems with them. Powells used books is a good website. But they tend to be more expensive then everywhere else.

Barnes and Noble mostly, but there's a few cool local book stores I tend to check first

Either Amazon or the small, local bookstore.

My roommate gets some of her books when libraries are selling books, maybe you could look into that.
