While watching "The Walking Dead", I get really anxious whenever I anticipate the characters to be attacked unexpectedly by zombies, and I'll look away from the TV screen. What do you normally do during a scary scene?
When watching a scary movie, do you .....

I love to be shocked with stuff like that. If i am watching something live with my wife she will pause it wait a bit and slowly fast forward to see what happens and i hate that. Needless to say i cant watch much stuff like that with her it just makes me not wanna watch anymore. I wish she would just look away and let me see what happens.

I hate scary movies.

I've been desensitized from a lot of things thanks to the internet so it really depends on what kind of scene I'm anticipating. Depictions of realistic violence that are plausible in real life really make me turn my head. The baseball bat and vice scenes in Casino make me sick to my stomach, so I don't watch those. Some of the scenes in The Devil's Rejects make me balk, but I ultimately watch them. The campy horror stuff just makes me laugh. Though, I don't watch many movies about ghosts anymore because they've taken it to a terrifying level. Annnd I cried when I watched the Exorcist (uncut).

I don't usually look away, if I do it's just for a second. I don't actually want to miss what happens.

I pay attention. I may look away if something bad is happening to a kid or animal. Other than that I usually look. I tend to look away at rape scenes also.

I'm slightly wussy. But what's even funnier is I reeeaaally don't like seeing scary movies in the theaters.

Im not scared at all by that kind of stuff. Im like beck if it is an animal being hurt or something I cant look. I can watch humans or anything get tore to shreds. I can watch monsters, ghosts whatever, Im fine. Just no animal dying.

Me too. If the scene involves harming an animal/young child/rape, I'll close my eyes and cover my ears. I'll also hum a tune to totally block the noise out.

Have you discussed this with her? She might think you're OK with her fast forwarding.

I don't generally watch this stuff because I have a light stomach.

I love this time of year...lots of good movies!

Shriek and hit something. Bad, girly habit. Hubby thinks its funny, until he has a bruise.

I am the exact same way! I can see virtually ANYTHING, but if an animal is dying I can't stomach it. I don't even like nature programs with graphic scenes of predation.

All of the above! I've been watching a lot of scary movies lately, tis the season! I will pay complete attention even if I sense something is about to pop up on screen and scare the crap out of me! When it happens then I close my eyes or hide my face.

Wow, that's pretty extreme! Do you two sit apart to keep a safe distance, before the movie starts?

The most that will happen is if something jumps out of no where and startles me I'll jump a bit but I never turn away and haven't met a movie yet that actually scares me. As mentioned above, scenes involving something bad happening to animals get to me, but usually I just do that gasping-while-covering -my-mouth-and-getting- wide-eyed thing.

I tend to look away or cover my eyes when things get really gruesome in a movie... like if someone is getting torn apart or there is lots of blood. that sort of stuff I can't stand to watch.
10/22/2011
I've never really been out-and-out scared by a horror movie. I can be surprised, yes, but scared? Meh. I just watch the scary bits like I would an exposition scene.
10/22/2011
I don't really like scary movies..
10/22/2011
I like being scared every now and then
10/22/2011
Divert my eyes and cover my ears...hah. XD;

I hate scarey movies but my other half loves them so when they are being viewed I drown myself into the internet.
10/22/2011
Stare at the screen and laugh myself senseless. Horror movies amuse me to no end.
10/22/2011
love em

Scary movies scare the hell out of me, and I can't handle the stress. People might hate me, but I PAUSE the movie, and take breaks. Regularly.
10/22/2011
I watch it, my wife turns away and covers her face and ears. Even with a movie she has already seen and knows what is going to happen.

Haha, true! Whenever I watch a scary movie at home and it gets too much for me, that means it's time to pause and get a drink/ go potty/ sing a song.
