It's so hard to pick an absolute favorite - and it varies a bit, but overall, I'd say A Clockwork Orange.

Ooh, I love that movie.

I haven't been intrigued by Marilyn Monroe before. I guess I always saw her as overtly sexualized even though it wasn't all from her. But I loved The Prince and the showgirl.

I find that hard to put down in words. I have several different favorite movies for different genres. I suppose I'll try and put down a few for the different categories.

Action - Avatar
Drama - Merry Christmas Mr.Lawrence
Comedy - Kung pow: enter the fist
Musical - Sweeney Todd
Horror - Gremlins
Thriller - Pulp fiction

I have enjoyed that movie since it came out, but all the merchandising for that movie has kind of burnt me out on it altogether.

I have a lot of faves, but I think I really liked The Crow. I heard rumors that they're going to remake the movie, too.

I'm a fan of non-chronological plotlines. My favorites would probably be Primer and Memento. Honorable mentions go to Pi and Trainspotting .

I would be lying if I said I don't have a few things of Nightmare Before Christmas (a tiffany lamp, a fountain, a blanket, two shirts), but I just look past all that. I even own 4 copies of the movie; 1 VHS, and 3 DVDS. Sad, huh?

I just got done watching the live action film of Blood the Last vampire. Now I am in love with a fictional vampire character named Saya!

I also loved the original animated version.

The original was amazing! I saw kite at the same time which was also really good. The live action fun, but I have never seen the series. How does that compare the first animated movie?

It was very similar. It had a slightly different Plot. Saya did go to school for a day and whack a few girls over the head with her sharp ass sword. Instead of her saving a secretary she saved a fellow student girl. The action scenes were amazing, lots of gore and blood. Which usually I don't like, but it was the bad guys blood mostly. Saya is looking for a demon named Ongei (that is not the proper spelling lol) or something. In the live action movie she is 400 years old, in the animated movie they never said her age, but showed a picture of her in the 1800s.

Saya is more sympathetic and hero like in this movie. I didn't notice any religious talk, so I don't know if it annoyed her as much as the orginal.

The movie was great, saw that it got negative reviews from the American media, but screw them. I bet Ebert never saw the original, so how can he get an appreciation!

I loved it.

I am gonna have to see kite one of these days.

FIGHT CLUB! I love, love that movie. Kinda helps that Brad Pitt and Edward Norton are absolutely beautiful, but it's just a great movie. Oh, and The Shawshank Redemption's pretty great. Ooh, and The Lord of the Rings movies. Any other LOTR nerds here? Haha.

I like Stand by Me a lot, I always group a few of those movies together from watching them all when I was about the same age as the kids. Any one remember a movie called Over the Edge? I am pretty sure Matt Dillon was in it, but it has easily been 20 years since I saw it.
