Just found out there is a new TV series on A&E channel named "Bates Motel", a prequel to the movie "Psycho", are you watching it?
Are you watching the new A&E series "Bates Motel"?

It looks interesting. But I have other shows I follow first. Maybe after the first season has finished airing, I'll give it a go. That way I won't have to wait between episodes and can drawn my conclusion about it that much faster.

I watched it, but wasn't impressed. I'll watch the next couple of episodes to see if it gets any better.
03/25/2013
I watched it being a fan of the original. I wasn't thrilled with it but i will keep watching to see how it plays out.
03/25/2013
I heard about it a while ago and was really interested but then completely forgot about it. When I saw this discussion on the forums I just set my dvr! So, many thanks to you Rossie!!!
03/25/2013
Meh. Doesn't interest me really.
03/25/2013
It sounds potentially interesting!
03/25/2013
I recorded it on my DVR but it wasn't working when I tried to watch it, I heard it was good.
03/25/2013
I've scheduled it in my DVR.
03/25/2013
I'm watching it, I love horror/thriller type shows/movies. I hope it turns out to be worth it!

I've been DVRing it, but I won't watch it, I think, until I've got all the season's episodes.

No, I won't be watching it.

My husband and I love Hitchcock movies, so we wanted to see it.
****************SPOILE R ALERT***************
The rape scene was bad enough to trigger me, I can watch "fantasy" BDSM porn scenes with no trouble and no triggering, so that's how graphic this scene was too much for me.
I was disappointed that it was set in modern day. Norman Bates would have been a teen in the late 40s or early 50s. So that part didn't make sense. I HATE when people take good period pieces and place them modern.
I wasn't impressed. It could have been better done. I can't imagine how they will turn a sympathetic figure like the TV Norman into a psychopathic killer. Of course, people seem to have no problem "relating" to some TV psychopaths, so who knows?
I don't know if we'll continue watching it. My husband actually fell asleep about half way through. He thought the rape scene was over the top graphic, as well.

No, but my mom loves it!
03/25/2013
I want to see it but I don't have cable so I'll have to wait.
03/26/2013
Oh yes I have to watch it though after my show comes on so im glad they play it back to back so in case you miss something you can always rewatch it where I live.

Nope
03/26/2013
Not interested.
03/26/2013
What is the premise? Is it just supposed to be the preceding timeline for the movie Psycho?
03/26/2013
We don't have cable so we can't watch it but I'd probably give a whirl if we did.

Hi there, P'Gell! Thanks for the heads-up about the graphic rape scene; I usually cover my ears and look away from the screen when those scenes occur.

I'm not really interested in this one, but I've never actually seen Psycho either.
