at first i was meh on it, but then it really grew on me. the history of pawnee, with the cult of reasonableness and the mayor who wore a german uniform under his clothes during WWII was hilarious.

Yessss! The made-up history is one of my favorite parts, especially the murals in the building where they work.

Have you seen the bloopers? Amazing. I'm jealous of everyone who gets to work on that set.

My friend has the book, and it's HILARIOUS. It has articles "written by" a bunch of the characters, not just Leslie. Chris's story about what it's going to be like when he's 150 is one of my favorites.

I saw a few minutes of it here and there. I just don't really get it. It's not really very funny for me.
