I have one of the first Kobos. I really like it but I do not use it as much because I got a tablet that works a lot better.

A number of Sony readers are able to convert every kind of book file, short of amazon, into a .pdf which can be uploaded into the reader.

Just got a NOOK COLOR as a GIFT at work. No comparison to my ASUS Transformer tablet for internet or much else, but as a reader, it is quite nice.

I have a Nook and buy paperbacks. A friend of mine has a Kindle Fire, which is cool if you're looking for a tablet. I wouldn't want to read books on it though. I like readers that use e-ink.

Kindle if I must, though I vastly prefer physical books and don't mind lugging them around at all (an extra 10-20 pounds in my purse isn't a bad thing, in my opinion)!

I have an iPad, but those Nook Fires are pretty awesome looking.

I still prefer reading from real books; there's nothing like smelling the pages as you turn them.

Before Kindle came to the market, I'd say Sony. But the regular (non-Fire) Kindles are the best for reading.
