looks as though neither of them have come out with a so called good movie in awhile. they both have several movies waiting to be released.

Just basing this on acting skill and not the actual movies, I think Al is a better actor. I find Robert always is Robert, playing someone else, just like Jack Nicholson is always himself first. I will say that Al has not aged as well as Robert & in his later roles, his looks, combined with his intense nature, sometimes make him seem like a caricature. When he was younger, it was easier to notice the subtlety in his acting.
